Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
There is a reason why many tipped Bitton to be our next big transfer cash in. He was superb and has went through a rough patch (a fairly lengthy one now to be fair).

If Rodgers can return him to his early form he'll once again be linked with a big money move.

On his day he is a far better footballer than McGregor.
On his day McGregor is definitely better than an off-form Bitton. I would agree with the vise-versa argument too, but McGregor is in better form at this moment.
McGregor was in better form at the end of last season. Bitton has been marginally better under Rodgers. I'd personally start Bitton against the huns but it's a position we really should've strengthened in the window.

Tail end of last season he was really coming on to a game. This season he has been pretty mince. I'm keeping the faith though

He's good for a goal in big games. Can't see him starting though.

he is nowhere near good enough to be a first pick if we are serious about building a really decent team but should get plenty of game time till jan at least . mcgregor like bitton and brown all play better in a proper 3 in midfield which leaves rogic as the problem as he plays better in a 4-2-3-1 and should always start in domestic games

Rogic should start every game he can with Brown and Bitton behind. McGregor is back up now.

i agree to an extent but was pointing out rogic is only one of the 4 who prefers 4-2-3-1. mcgregor, bitton and brown are all better in 4-3-3

If Callum McGregor played against us, no-one would be shouting for us to sign him.

If you had half a brain you'd see how much he runs about.

If that were the case he'd probably be in the Stuart Armstrong category of "if I had to sign anyone from the SPL, it'd be him". He is better than most SPL midfielders, he's just not as good as we'd like him to be.

He does though and he is a better foil for Brown rather than Bitton. Although I do feel we need to sign 2 good CMs to replace the 3 of them though

He was better than Biton against Aberdeen though I'm giving Biton the benefit of the doubt for that one cos of the midweek game.
I don't think Mcgregor even made the game v Aberdeen. I think Dulux are still trying to perfect the purple his faced turned during the match in Israel.

We were significantly better when McGregor came on. Not saying he will always be the answer but we went from slow backwards passing to more fluid, attacking football.

His problem is the defensive side of the game but he does work hard.

He played ten mins.

Cam on when it was 2-1 and the game was stretched.

Some people are suggesting he changed the game when he came on. He had some nice touches and movement but to suggest he changed the game for us is a bit far fetched. You're not alone in this assessment but people need to look at the bigger picture.

So frustrating today :brickwall: His sloppiness almost cost us big time when the ICT lad went through on goal in the first half. He was selfish in the second half and shot far too many times when there were players in better positions. If I were Moussa I'd be raging with him.
