Decent performances so far this summer but I would be cautious given he did well when first breaking into the team then got a new deal and went on to make zero impact.
Playing out of position though.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Said in the other threat but I'm not convinced he does.

I'm totally casting aspersions here but Armstrong is a guy who has options, and very good ones, outside of football. Maybe it's hard to put 100% into football if those options exist?
Does he? :ponder:

At the Open University.

Any options he has out of football will be no where near as attractive as the living he is making right now.

I think he deserves a run in the side. At the least, he couldn't do any worse than some of the over-paid and over-rated players in Celtic's midfield. Gives his all, which is more than others have been doing and getting away with it for way too long.

I'm new. Be gentle.
Runs with his head up, links well, makes forward passes and tracks back when needed. Scores the odd goal too. What's not to like?

hes nowhere near perfect, but I'd rather have him in my midfield rather than Brown or Bitton.

Should be a starter ahead of Brown.

He'll have the rest of his life after he retired to pursue these options.

If he isn't 100% committed he shouldn't be there. However, he looked good on Saturday for sure.

Agreed. Still young with lots of remove to improve further too. I think it's also important to have guys in the team that have been through the youth set up or have supported the team as a youngster.

Motm for me tonight. Unlucky not to score a couple early on also. Was all over the pitch. Quick forward passing. Looked really good. Everything Bitton isn't.

Decent display from him tonight. Not everything came off for him but kept the ball moving.

Great 1-2 with Roberts for his goal.

Like seeing him (and Armstrong) starting in midfield. Both look to play good, attacking football. Hopefully keep their place.

Agreed. He looks interested which is more than can be said for Bitton and Johansen.

His one two with Roberts was the highlight of the match for me.

Great through ball for Roberts' goal. Had a few slack moments in the second half but generally put in a good showing tonight.

I'm really, really rooting for him. Would love for us to have a homegrown guy who tries to play football the right way in the centre of our team.
