This thread is like the opposite of every other individual player thread.

How bizarre.

Unless you're a teenager or not watched a lot of football then geez peace.

Busquets the best you've seen :ffs:

In my 30's and played sweeper/DM when I was younger. Sergio Busquets is the best DM I've ever seen, by a distance. Even Xavi said he was the best one touch Passer at Barca. His play acting is embarressing though.
Your 30's, so you would have seen... Keane, Viera, Makelele, Redondo and Lothar Matthaus?

You'd pick him over all of them?

Very similar to Griffiths'.

McGregor is in my opinion one of the most underrated players on KDS (along with Mulgrew). He has great close control and are most often able to find someone with a pass while he´s holding on to the ball. 4-3-3 is very suitable for him and I think he´ll play a lot this season.

No, I actually mean that. The criticism of Mulgrew is not always related to his actual performances on the pitch, it´s my feeling. I´m not saying he´s a fantastic player, but better than the impression you get from reading KDS.

Mulgrew chucked it under a manager. As a professional he is carrot. A grade A carrot

I'd play him ahead of Brown or Bitton.

i think we can do better but he is much much better in central mid and not right of a 3 in the 4-2-3-1. decent passer and decent squad player

McGregor is currently the best midfielder in the squad. He hasn't improved that much from where he was so that should be a warning to everyone just how poor our players have been and currently are. For all we have a stockpile of midfielders the ones that were good enough at one point aren't anymore. We need to strengthen in this area desperately. Until then McGregor should start but we can't afford to try and go through a season where he is the best option in midfield as he's not good enough.

Seems very light weight to be our centre mid - If browns not there who would be our steel as i could see mcgregor getting bullied - love to be proved wrong though
Brown ran out of steel a couple of seasons ago mate. He's a passenger we can ill afford.

Should definitely be playing this week. Wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers hadn't heard of him before he signed up but he's leagues ahead of Brown these days and can shoot as well. Hopefully the Wolfsburg game was an eye opener.

I would aye. Tbh I wouldn't see Keane, Matthaus or Vieira as DM's. Busquets is a superb DM, he plays the role to perfection.

Would've started him last week but after Saturday I'd say he's a stick on to play on Wednesday.

Wasn't sure when he broke onto the scene but think he's a starting XI player the now.

Said in the other threat but I'm not convinced he does.

I'm totally casting aspersions here but Armstrong is a guy who has options, and very good ones, outside of football. Maybe it's hard to put 100% into football if those options exist?

To be fair if you are going to be a carrot it's better to be a grade a one rather than a b or a c...

Decent performances so far this summer but I would be cautious given he did well when first breaking into the team then got a new deal and went on to make zero impact.
