Getting on a bit

Becoming a very good player. I'd still want to see him do it in a big game although he was decent in that position against Ajax and made a difference vs Sevco, and he's scored in big Euro games, albeit in a different position. He's definitely making Johansen, Bitton and Brown all look bad. Which is good from an academy point of view, but infuriating in another way.

Love seeing him do well. He makes us better with his movement, passing and eye for goal. Hope he kicks on and moves up another gear!

I was wrong. Could be a really good player for us if played centrally.

Excellent again today. Very tidy player, always offers an angle to get on the ball and plays with the head up.

Not sure why some people aren't sure about him. He moves the ball forward quickly, creates space well, can run with the ball, lifts his head early and has an eye for goal, particularly from the edge of the box. He seems to have a good understanding with Roberts too.

He's arguably our best midfielder right now (it's between him and Rogic imo).

Seems very light weight to be our centre mid - If browns not there who would be our steel as i could see mcgregor getting bullied - love to be proved wrong though

Macgregor seems to handle himself ok physically, Brown being there will have a negative effect on his game.

Brown's 'steel' is virtually non existent now that he is two yards off the pace. I will happily give up some dig for a player who can control the ball and pass it. I am not saying McGregor is the answer but right now he is better for the team than Brown.

Theres never really been anything wrong wih the lad. Some folk have been pretty harsh when it comes to him which is strange seeing as some of them tend to be the same ones who bum up wee jamsey like hes a long lost son.

I think there was a bit of uncertainty as to his best position so people were judging him based on that. When he came back from Notts County he was viewed as a player in the Commons mould so seeing him at centre mid made it look like he was out of position.

Agree - I'm still not convinced he's good enough, but sadly he's as good as we've got for now. If he keeps improving though I'd be delighted to have been wrong about him.

He wasn't a very good winger or #10. Turns out he's a pretty good centre midfielder.

Big season for mcgregor this year, he's not really a youngster anymore needs to make his mark in the first team consistently and kick on. Has potential to do it though.
