He was frozen out at the beginning of the season and deserves an enormous amount of credit for fighting his way into the team and holding down a starting spot. He's stepped up where others have stepped down and although some of his teammates are more naturally talented than McGregor, he is outperforming most of them. Has earned his right to be called a Celtic player and unlike many others, deserves to be here. McGregor makes the most of his ability.
Spot on. He was being hunted by the majority on here no long ago and was on every other punt list etc.

He's improved but still isn't good enough. Squad player at the very best. Fans wonder why we struggle both domestically and in Europe. Players like McGregor are the answer
Spot on.

Cracking wee player, constantly passing and moving into space.

Show some great skill in beating Shinnie and then the composure to pick out Lustig.

Think he's really underrated by a lot of our support.

Thought he was excellent yesterday.

So I take it you want the whole squad punted and upgraded (nice dream but in reality it ain't ever gonna happen is it?). Right now McGregor looks like one of our smarter footballers and he deserves the opportunity to play a part in the next manager's plans and to demonstrate if he is capable of rising to the challenge in Europe.

I used to really hate when he was in the team, but to his credit he has really got his act together.

I think the deep lying midfield role suits him more - it allows him more time on the ball. His work rate has also shot up. Hope he continues to improve.

one of very few who moves into space after he passes the ball. I like that

His movement was best on the park by a country mile yesterday. I really enjoyed watching his contribution.

He's deserving of some praise for the effort he puts in, but you have got him right.
Has a good scoring record in Europe. People still looking for negatives, it baffles me.

Good to see him getting props. Ratehr than talk about him playing being a sign of how poor we are let's hope he continues to improve and becomes an important player. Always nice to see academy success stories.

No, he's not.

The others are seriously out of form, but I feel that's more to do with the apathy in the squad than their actual ability.

If everyone else were playing to the level's we know they are capable of, McGregor's failings would be much more apparent.

He's getting bummed up due the lack of form of others.

He's doing well at the minute. He might not be the long term answer but there are definitely plenty of midfielders at our club who could learn a thing or two from him.

I think Tierneys emergence may have lit a bit of a fire under him.

Definitely deserves his place at the moment and is embarrassing some of our senior players by showing a far better attitude than them.

His technical ability and work rate have improved massively since last season and I think he's been better since being played deeper.

I'd keep him, he's a good option for us to have.

As I said, he is the best midfielder we have just now. Now that may be due to the fact that others have downed tools, but that just proves they need to be booted out of the club as quickly as possible.

These posts may seem incredibly harsh given his recent form.

However I think if people were being truly honest with themselves they'd recognise that if we want to attain a certain level, we've still got to be better than what McGregor has shown on the whole. It's just about accepting a certain standard. One that either makes us a CL team, or doesn't.

That doesn't mean he should not be retained. He's played himself well above a list of other players this season. He should clearly get the chance to develop, and there is absolutely no reason why his current run in the team shouldn't continue.

On current form he is showing much more promise now than even when he was scoring a few goals at the beginning of last season. His all round game is better and he is more suited to his position now than he was last season out wide.

I still don't think he'd be anything like a first pick in a firing Celtic team that had just qualified for the Champions League. A member of the squad no doubt, but until he showed his form more consistently against the better side s- which he may well go on to do, and if so good luck to him - I'm not sure he'd be even be near most peoples realistic starting XI.

Apples and pears.

He's the best at what he does best. He's not at what others do best. At the fittest he could ever be Brown could not move, find space, or move the ball with the accuracy and speed that McGregor can. In a horrible, tough midfield battle, a very fit McGregor could never match a fit Brown.

He'd be one of my first picks in our 2 lineups for the last 2 games of the season
