We were better when he came on against sevco. Would always play him ahead of Johansen. If we bring in a good midfielder or two he'd still be a great option to have.

I like him. Good touch and close control. Tidy and good weight of pass. An eye for goal too.

Couple of problems for him:
- lack of pace
- not sure where to play him

The least of our worries. At least he looks like he wants to be here.

Have come round to him this season. Always on the move and keeps the ball moving quickly when he gets on it. Happy to take the ball under pressure and doesn't lose it often. Better player than I gave him credit for at the start of the season. Definitely a player to keep around.

I think one of the reason Brown had a better game on Saturday was that McGregor was playing from the start and he works very hard, makes himself available for a pass and takes the pressure of Brown by making a lot of forward runs

Did someone on here not say that Johansen was wanting away in the summer?

Proudest day of his life today - been at Celtic since he was a boy and inherited the armband for 20 minutes. Well in Callum - not the most talented but a real trier. :worthy:

Best player on the park today, playing in his best position.

He's a trier. But he's talented too.

Great moment for him and really chuffed he got the opportunity

Your bit about "not the most talented" is nonsense though. He's one of the most technically talented players in our squad.
Why people can't just give this guy praise without a dig is really strange.
We even had one floof in the match thread talking about the way he looks, effing bizarre shampoo from people on here.

Yup, he's clearly one of the most technically proficient players in the squad.

Yip
He has a great first touch which allows him to take the ball in tight situations and is a big part of his game.
His feet are also really quick which we seen when he set up Lustig today.
Made up for him that he got the arm band for the last 20 mins, his family will be proud today I'm sure.

And arguments about how good he is aside - for someone who has been at Celtic since childhood to be handed the captain's armband (even for a short time) should not be greeted with anything other than a 'well done pal'.
