I can imagine him thriving under Moyes.

He's perfectly suited to his favoured 4-4-1-1 formation with his work rate and ability to slot into any of the midfield positions. Moyes had plenty players of that mould at Everton in the likes of Leon Osman, Stephen Pienaar, Tim Cahill etc.

He's been our most consistent midfielder this season.

I'm still not convinced he's good enough long term, but I'd keep him.

A very tidy wee player indeed, but wasted on the wing.
I have high hopes for this lad

Better than he's given credit for. Next season will be make or break for him.

He's a player that used to do my head in, not so much now.

At least when he's in the team he'll rarely let you down without being spectacular.

His improvement is clear. Should continue to get game time in a central position.

If you watch McGregor closely, he's as prominent as anyone in our squad for passing to a team mate then offering an angle for a return. Shows enterprise where many others are static by moving after he's passed. It's pretty simple, but apparently beyond a large number of our players.

His development (and rehabilitation from early 2014/15) is far from total, but he should continue to get the chance to be part of this squad under a new manager. What's more, he shows the attitude for it, which also makes him stick out a bit at the current time.

Much better recently. Still gives it away too cheaply at times but a definite improvement.

When he was playing last season I thought he was a waste of space, but he has proved me wrong this season.
He has much improved and his attitude is great. I just wish some of the others in our team showed his dedication.

Could be a player yet. He's an example of the ways in which a young player can contribute. They're not all going to be Paul McStay

I like the bhoy, thought he came in for quite a bit of unfair criticism earlier in the season but kind of felt that was because some more senior players were shirking their responsibility and he was forced into some poor mistakes (still happening with Roberts and to a lesser extent Tierney)
He's no world beater but he's a good squad player and still has the potential to improve with a new manager and perhaps some new senior players around to help him

This is the nub of it. And this is the reason he should play in the middle. Too many of our midfielders (almost all of them, in fact) are content to pass the ball and then stand still.

Bitton gets a hard time on here these days and some of it deserved but the number of times he receives the ball and there is nobody moving into space for him is noticeable, to me anyway.

I do agree with that. I think a lot of that is to do with Johansen chucking it this season and not showing for the ball.

That said, Bitton himself is one of the worst offenders for passing and then not making an angle to receive the ball back.

Damning with faint praise. The boy has talent and has demonstrated it consistently especially since being moved inside. Incidentally I saw in an interview he said his whole family was devastated at the loss to sevco because they are all Celtic fans. I was pleased to see that because I had read differently on here.

Allan is older than all those named, and hasn't thrived under any manager other Stubbs while playing in a pub league.
