I'll not repeat what I said on another thread...........................well yes I will!
He gets far too much stick on here. Not blessed with tremendous talent but never hides, looks for the ball and can score good goals. We have a lot worse.

his goal today was very good, showing the defender the shoulder the additional touch to take the ball away from the desperate lunge and smashing it low into the corner, was a cracking goal

He's making the absolute most of what he has. Which is unlike far too many of his teammates.

He's a weird one. I don't think he's good enough but I like him and what he brings to the team. It's his style of play I like. Always looking to play good football (1-2's, that sort of thing) and of course he knows where the goal is. While I'm not totally sold on him I love a footballer in the middle of the park instead of a Johansen/Brown type of player.

Good game today and a great goal. Definitely worth his place in the team at the minute.

He's been worth his place all season imo. Dunno why he gets the stick he does. Everyone has had a bad season I suppose but he's been better than most

Not my favourite by any means but

Last two game he has done well and doesn't deserve to be dropped

also has a good knack of finding the back of the net

should start next weekend

He is averaging a goal or assist every 137 minutes. Not bad at all.

Has a future captain's attitude in the body of a backup/squad player. Yes he is quite a limited player but he makes the most of what he has, unlike a good number of our squad.

The Scottish Iniesta. Fantastic talent and it's bizarre the slating he gets on here.

Team was better today because he played deeper and it made it more of a 4-3-2-1. More of this formation please. Not the best player in the world, but the team looked stronger today with him in it.

Great goal today...still think he's a one trick pony who shows little sign of developing in to any sort of complete player.

Obviously I'd love to be proven wrong when he wins the Ballon D'or and we're knocking back offers of £50millin of him in a couple of years time

Xavi surely?

People need to wrap this "limited player" pish when it comes to him.
He is quite quick, has good technique, gets stuck in, gets the ball moving forward, can spot a pass and can finish.

If the rest of the squad were as limited as him we'd be in a lot better position this season.

A box to box midfielder who in a different formation might look better.
