Not excusing him, as I think it was sheer stupidity, but is 4 times the limit not prety much a sniff of a non alcholic beer now?

The dude who likened it to being a paedo needs to wind his neck in a bit.
Not excusing him... but

A year is pretty lenient actually. He'll do his time. Nonsense to suggest he should be sacked for this, utter nonsense.

He's been punished. As far as I know he will still be capable of doing his job. There is no reason to sack him saving the usual self righteous nonsense on here whenever someone does something silly.

Not usually one for burning the witch, but would be deserved here.

Should be let go in the summer - was given a big chance and has made an arse of it. You can accept a player being patchy in form like McGregor is but they need to have a spotless attitude, really. Clearly that's not the case with the wee man.

Best of luck in the future but I hope for his sake and for other people's safety that he sorts this stupidity out. You got a contract way above your station last year, mate, you should be phoning a horse and cart to come and pick you up if you've had a shandy too many.

As I said he effed up. I also dont rate him as a player.

But really, are we now saying someone who gets disqualified for drink driving and gets a fine should be sacked? If so, why?
