He played with Celtic from an early age and supported us because of that from what I remember.

His family aren't Celtic fans, they're lovely people though.

He was a Rangers fan but never a 'hun'. His dad recommended he choose Celtic. His Lochend pals ribbed him about the change in allegiance, but he was always a decent, hard-working grounded, modest young man. The bile he provokes on this and other fora is bemusing.
Bile?

Bile, as in the fact that he drives some KDSers to great anger at his displays. I am biased in his favour, having first seen him play as an 11 year old, so maybe I just refuse to see what is so annoying about his style of play.

He's just a bang average player.

Hard working, has made the most of his talent and likeable.

But bang average and that's all he will ever be, but I think he can have a long career in the top flight of Scottish football.

There's no anger or hatred towards the boy. Some fans just don't think he's good enough and in my opinion he isn't.

Nothing personal, just don't rate him.

It's been stupid at times, albeit amidst more measured criticisms from folk who have watched him since Youth level. Time will tell whether he has a future at the club but "he's pish" is not adding much to the debate.

I think he's been not bad, if not spectacular for a wee while.

His passing technique is good. Not a DM but I think he's better centrally than on the wing, at least he has been in latter performances.

there are a lot of great teams who play technically good players in deeper roles and it works very well. I think that's Deila's thinking - better passing in the middle is the most important thing and he sees McGregor as best for that at the moment. But we aren't a great side and Callum is no Xavi so there's a lot of scope for this idealism to fall short in practice (I would rather have a Big Vic type there) He should continue there tomorrow after Tuesday but I would like to see Armstrong get at least the same run in the team and eradicate doubt over who's better to play in the middle when Brown and Bitton aren't both available.

That's good enough for me because that's where we happen to reside, isn't it, in the top flight of Scottish football? I'd rather have players like that than future superstars who pass through for a season or two before moving on.

No expert but I kind of thought all forums (fora), regardless of whether they're physical places or when in history they exist, are basically the same idea, no? Places or situations where people get together to talk about how pish Nadir Ciftci is share ideas..

I am aware of its various meanings arklys and that one can also be used for the forum of ideas - which defines this august portal. I was using it in a metaphorical sense.

I wonder how many arcane debates like this take place on FF?

Same meaning really, public meeting place. According to the dictionaries either forums or fora is acceptable as plural.
