Between his tracking back and the way he recycled possession, always showing for the pass, even coming deep for the ball, he was brilliant last night. I like the way he zips the ball into feet, none of the lazy passing that we often to see from Johansen or Izaguirre.
You mean like some of the poor passes he played against Utd last Friday?

I had him as my MOTM but my God some are going way OTT in their praise. It seems to be a trend online just now to talk players up to unrecognisable levels.
No I mean like some of the passes he played against Hamilton last night. You know, like I said, last night.

Average player in good game shocker. It happens.

He will get found out in that position* against better teams.

I don't understand the black or white vision some of our support have. Couple of shampooe pass in a game against Dundee United means he can't pass a ball? His only problem against DU was his weakness in tackles which he went some way to improving against Hamilton.

With everyone fit McGregor won't be near the first team but when injuries crop up he's willing and able to fill in.

- He shows all the time
- He moves the ball quickly and often first time and for the majority he finds a Celtic shirt.
- He also enjoys getting a goal or two.
- He can play anywhere in midfield
- He's 22
- He's Scottish
- He's a product of our own youth academy.

He's more deserving than Scott Allan of a place in the team.

Up there with if you want Deila out, you want Celtic to lose.

I actually really like him, has a great attitude.
Went out on loan down to England & did well, rather than sit around Lennoxtown.
Chose to come back up the road to fight for a place, when he had offers from the championship.
Got his head down & plugged away.
Got into the team & scored more European goals than Stokes, in about 3 games.
Fell back out the team, but kept plugging away & got back in the team.
Played out of position, but willing to do a shift & try his hardest.
Obviously loves Celtic & hasn't really put a foot wrong, no off field antics etc.
2 good feet, good energy, passes well & can shoot.
Makes himself a nuisance, rather than being really effective in the tackle - but I'm sure this is something he's working on & will get better at.
I think Ronny gave him a 5 year contract almost based solely on his good attitude.
I hope he goes on to play a few hundred games, great role model for other young players coming up - as is Tierney.

If we as a club are going to be cutting back then a player like McGregor should be kept around. That's not an attack on McGee go r 's ability, however.

He cost us nothing and he'll put a shift in in different positions, and usually does well in the middle of the park. Also he's young so we can improve him.

When you consider how many shire players we sign who go on to fail, a homegrown talent like McGregor should absolutely have a place in the squad.

I know it's not ideal having him at cm but he's actually done pretty well. At the moment he's a squad player. I can't see him being any more than that but it's worth keeping him to see what he can achieve.

At the moment he's a good squad player, something we will always need, whether he can push on or not nobody really knows. If you don't think he adds to the depth chart or we'd replace him with a better squad player that's fine but at this moment he is outperforming the regular starters so that argument looks weak.

We need squad players just for games like midweek, it's very clear to me. McGregor he is proving he has a place at Celtic, even if he won't necessarily be the next superstar.

He had a good night against a dreadful Hamilton side, a bit of perspective required. Suddenly he's Andre Pirlo in the making.

Would go along with that...kind of like Celtic's answer to Phil Neville at Man United. Can't fault him for effort anyway, and at the moment would place him ahead of GMS and Johansen in the attacking midfield positions

It's gotta be black or white at times it seems, not too many younger players can I recall being given such a poor time of it on here.

Judging by his recent outings Central he's been played out of position most every time he's appeared. Looks much more comfortable through the middle though he can do okay elsewhere, scoring and creating. That's a handy man to have around and won't be costing us a a fortune.
