History will show that he was one of the most important players in securing the 10. Rogic has found his spiritual home and McGregor was there all along.

He's just won his 8th trophy, played 55 games for Celtic, 3 for his country, scored 12 goals across 5 different competitions and improved his overall game massively this season. Fantastic season for him again, had a poor spell before the turn of the year where he shouldn't have been anywhere near the first XI but he finished superbly, now a first pick.

Last season he had a similar pattern in terms of form, I think...?

Patchy beginning and finished as someone you’d struggle to drop.

I don't think his dip in form was as bad last season, he was more consistent overall whereas this season his bad patch was very bad. Sevco brought the best out of him last season too, back to back goals against them, another big game player.

He started the season reasonably well. Peaked vs Bayern at home. Dipped massively until the Zenit game at home then has been consistently very good since. He’s earned his place in the big games.

His form improved when he was playing in a more settled midfield. He’s someone that tends to get shunted around a fair bit so it’s nice for him to get a position and stick to it for a while.

Finished trying to make excuses for getting this spectacularly wrong.

He's brilliant and he's especially brilliant in the big games.

He's getting better and better, and getting more consistent too. Long may it continue.

I'm still not sure how he got that power with that little backlift. What technique

Which gets you into the argument of whether it's best to keep picking him hoping he'll rediscover the form or drop him till you feel he has.

Same issues with Sinclair though perhaps more deep seated in his case.

Old guy that sits behind me at CP hates McGregor, Rogic & Forrest - has hated them since they broke through to the team and won't admit he's wrong - still has a go at the 3 of them every game!

The problem with Sinclair is that he hides when things aren’t going well.

McGregor, even when going through a patch of poor form, still shows for the ball constantly (which is probably why people are exaggerating how poor that patch was this season).

Backed this lad from the start, he’s clearly a first pick and that’s from BR, he’s the man, knows it inside out, he’s a class act fills difficult positions, an absolute star.

McGregor is the type of player we need coming through. A guy who tries his heart out, wants to get better, listens then improves rapidly. His finishing is outstanding and he scores in big games. His goal on Saturday was only bettered by his goal against Zentit. Big time player and I'm delighted he's doing so well. A total class act.

Looking at the goal of the season threads this boy could have had his own goal of the season competition. What a season from the kid. Big games and he turns up and scores absolute crackers. See if he improves again next year we are going to be fending off massive offers. Hopefully he is in the mind set to stay for the 10. Another I was so horribly wrong about. Callum take a bow son.
