He’s been a goodun since he started playing for us.

So happy to see him get the credit he deserves, home grown heroes need time to develop.

Patience is key, absolutely. I think folk will get more used to giving younger players more time. Callum's development has been an educational process for a few I'd think.

Becoming a crucial player for us. Some of his goals this season - Bayern, Zenit, Huns semi and yesterday - have been genuine world class efforts and in some cases, amongst the best team goals I’ve seen a Celtic team score.

Has a Thompson-like knack for scoring or contributing in the biggest games, when it matters.

He has the technical ability not normally associated with Scottish players, fantastic player.

Incidentally my Notts County supporting mate says McGregors been the best loan player he’s seen at the club and thinks he’s wasted up here.
the then manager of Notts also had Grealish on loan from Villa at the same time as he had McGregor - manager supposedly said there was only one loan player worth £20 million and that was McGregor

That goal will be in all the Celtic highlight videos, worthy of the name, for years to come. Absolute effing peach.

Incredible to think strachan didn't even think him worthy of a place in the scotland squad.
Other people were telling Strachan he deserved a place., that was the problem.

Like the consensus I thought McGregor was never going to make it at Celtic.

It's brilliant to be proved wrong, Callum is a mainstay of our team and deservedly so.

It shows you what hard work combined with technical ability can accomplish, if only more young Scottish players could grasp that.

I can't wait to see even more of his development under Rodgers' management.

I'm smugly sitting in the "been a fan for ages" camp.
Every time he scores & plays well in big games, I'm like - told yeez, to my mates.
It's brilliant being proven RIGHT! 😉🤣

Was having a look at a Notts County forum and what they have said about him in the past. I know it’s Notts County, but fascinating to see them talk about Callum in such glowing terms. Even after he scored in the cup final they were commenting on his ability.
In contrast to Remy, whose contributions to this thread are astoundingly misjudged. 30 odd posts and not a single one is positive.

I think it shows how different we can all watch the same game based on what we want to see.

He is actually going from a good squad player to a first pick which I would never have foreseen happening but Rodgers has stuck with him and his confidence is growing as he works with Rodgers and picks up on his Manager's confidence and belief in him.

My main gripe is still the backtracking with no tackling and then stopping and leaving the defence to it especially when our defence can be suspect as feck at times but he is improving on that lately.

I liked the fact he called Clancy and the Family Club thugs out on the Tierney treatment and fwiw if Messi or Rpnaldo had taken that ball on the edge of the box and struck it on the drop first time with that power and accuracy into the back of the net we would be seeing it on in a best goals ever compilation for that player - Fantastic goal and worthy of the day Celtic won the Double Treble :worthy: :worthy: :worthy:

His goal reminded me of Rogic at Pittiodrie. The Lennoxtown conveyor belt is finally working.
