He has always struck me as a player who flies up and down the pitch, looks tremendous and full of confidence........ when you are 3 or 4 up.........however he goes missing in action when you need him in the trenches. He's a luxury player.

McGregor is a tidy footballer but not one that is essential in the middle of the park, either in a defensive or attacking sense.

Should be on the bench for the vast majority of games in the 2nd half of the season.

He’s the Poundland Paul Scholes.

Underrated for ages then Rodgers decided he was good, made a point of telling the fans he was good and now he’s wildly overrated.

Can’t stand the guy. He’s one of the greadiest players I’ve seen. He’s also not very good.

He's talking about Forrest mate.
It’s probably the most ridiculous post of the day
Forrest has no goals or assists against the Huns. What's ridiculous about that statement? Is it wrong. It should have been on the Forrest thread but it wasn't

It's the one where player/manager/board is, and has actually never, been good enough and everyone knows it (apart from those fhan bhoys who enjoyed the treble).

Punt.

Oh, and coward.

Moussa as well you have said played well on his thread for 45 minutes.

Both were passengers and Moussa looked as if he wanted be anywhere but CP on Saturday.

Both of them had a mare.

I stand by that. Said so on Sat too. Moussa had a good first half. Held the ball up well, brought others into play but he tired in the 2nd.

Putting things into perspective, McGregor on any other SPL team would be the first pick for every single game.
And probably top scorer for whoever-it-was.

Mcgregor has delivered against the hun sufficiently to have justified his inclusion last weekend. The game completely passed him by though, as it did many others. Whatever roids Guardiola has city on we must have been on the antidote. Lethargic as eff which for players like Mcgregor who hasn't played all the games is odd. There was a piss poor attitude all round.

I was one who was pissed at strachan for not playing him for scotlans when he hit the purple patch earlier in the season but he needs benched. He's a good squad player but shouldn't be a starter. Need rogic back and a creative midfielder asap.

he has gone very quiet atm seems to overrun the ball too much. Maybe Koussi in and push Ntcham forward a bit

A lot better off the bench than he is when he starts.

He was getting himself in amongst the goals last season and early this season but its all dried up. Someone described him as being like a wall in another thread and it was bang on.

That was my thoughts too, over a number of recent games. Showing for the ball and not even thinking about turning and playing the ball forward. The constant playing the ball back to where it came from really slows down any forward momentum we have. It's like a safe option he's happy with, but it's one of the reasons we haven't been playing any kind of flowing football this season. It's only this season he's been doing it, and it seems to me he's one of the players who's confidence has taken a bit of a nosedive after the clubbing in the Champions League games.

He has lots to offer, but recent performances suggest he needs a rest from the starting 11. Who should replace him? Kouasi would seem the obvious choice, and push Ncham further up the park. Talk of Kouasi going on loan is surely nonsense. He's been decent when he gets on.
