His first shot was ridiculous. He should've been subbed on the spot after he tried it again 5 minutes later. Pish today and has been since his Bayern goal.

He was utterly pish mate. I don't need to watch anything again. If you think he was anywhere need half decent his woeful shot in the first half must have hit you and gave you concussion
His possession was great. He linked play continually for us. People want to harp on about those two shots and the one in he second half to prove their point, fine.
Great?? :ffs: You have no standards Bawman. None whatsoever if you thought any part of his game was great. :ffs:

Not sure how he managed to stay on the park for the entire game, particularly after those two woeful attempts on goal. Ntcham did more in 20 minutes than McGregor did in 90.

I think he's a useful player but he can't fill in where Rogic would play - we're so much less fluent when he's there.

He's a squad player at best and should not be first pick so many times given current form. Consistently makes the wrong decision when in good positions offensively and doesn't seem to learn. Never puts heads up to look for options in these situations and just shoots, at least this season he has.

Wonder if we can get Christie back from on loan? Be a good option for the number 10 second half of the season.

All you have harped on about are the three shots he took in the 90 minutes. Lustig had misplaced pass after misplaced pass. McGregor didn't. He made good use of the ball when passing in the first half and seemed to be one of the few who was willing to work the ball forward. There was a lot wrong about us today, one being Sinclair, the other being Forrest, both of whom were completely dominated by Tavernier and John respectively. Don't even get me started about Armstrong. McGregor battled hard in a team that was second to the ball a lot and failed to provide much of a threat on the flanks.

Not as bad as some would have you believe.
Yes he is. His decision making is absolutely appalling and he has offered nothing lately.
Go back and watch that entire first half. He was the only midfielder linking play and successfully too.
He is a very good link man but requires other players to move off the ball. This wasn't happening, hence why he didn't look effective and when that is not happening, it is easy to see why people single him out.

He's good at getting past players and on his day can have a cracking shot, but some of his decision making is woeful. Far too many passes straight to the opposition.

Anyone thinking he was decent today needs seen to. Worse than Sinclair.

I think it says a lot about our ambitions as a club that a player as ordinary as McGregor is starting so often.

Probably says more about our injuries to Roberts and Rogic

Or you know, maybe he was just our worst player.

Sinclair was bad, but at least he seemed to have a rough idea what colour his teammates we're playing in. McGregor's passes were straight to hun players.

The fact he has a good first touch doesn't excuse the fact the rest of his game was abysmal today.

Hasn’t had a single good game since Bayern at home, how he continuously starts games I’ll never know.

Lustig was horrendous. Closely followed by sinclair, forrest and Tierney.

Agreed that he did well in the 1st half. Kept possession well.

2nd half he was poor.

Getting on a bit
[ * * * * * * * * * * ]
He’s neat and tidy on the ball when things are going our way.
However he is far too easily brushed off the ball when things get physical, just like Armstrong.
Brendan likes him because of the way he usually looks after the ball and his ability to get in the box and finish.
Long term neither McGregor nor Armstrong are good enough to take us to a higher level.
