More game to game knee jerk reactions. Only a few games ago he was brilliant now hes crap. Truth is inbetween probably. A decent player who mostly does a very good job but who has room for improvement.
I don't think he was anywhere near as bad as some are making out but he's not been his usual self the past couple of games. Bartley was man marking him for a lot of the game so it wasn't easy for him, I'd start Rogic tomorrow though, would see him back at last seasons level.

I really like McGregor, but don't think he's good enough technically to play as a no.10

He's better than John McGinn.

Agreed more talent and natural ability but McGinn is a far better tackler and probably has a higher work rate imo

Seems a guy without any ego whose willing to the put in the graft to improve. Hes a good finisher, tidy on the ball and got very decent ball control. However still wee bit behind the level we should be looking for, if he improves his work rate during the game (so hes more involved, might be a fitness issue) and his decision making then we'll have a a very good player on our hands, instead of a decent one.

He's much more of a central midfielder than a No 10. Suits the games where the opposition sit in 2 deep packs of 4 as his best asset is his ability to create space and control the ball in those areas. As long as Broony is sitting behind him it's all good. If he's one of the more defensive midfielders we're in trouble.

I'd agree that he's better playing centrally. He could do with improving the defensive side of his game if he's going to play there against better opposition, but that seems more likely than him developing the sort of vision and technique that a really good no.10 needs to have.

That's the problem with having players that are versatile enough to play many different positions - they're rarely outstanding in one particular position.

What about Charlie Mulgrew? :ph43r:

McGregor's tidy and consistent, with flashes of really, really good football but we need to be looking for better. Would that mean selling Rogic though?

Thought he was fantastic tonight playing left back. Him and Sinclair linked excellently throughout the game.
He was MOTM for me.

Fantastic eh?

Absolutely average tonight. Most of the, albeit limited, Hamilton attacks came down his side as he was posted missing far too often.

A great SPFL squad player. Nothing more.

When you ask a player to play out of position and he plays as well as that you can't complain, well some people can apparently ;)

Played some nice football, good link up with Armstrong and Sinclair. We can get away, just, with playing him there against Accies but proper back up for KT is a priority.

Must have watched a different game from me. Thought he was decent on the ball and an absolute defensive liability. His positioning was all over the place.

Didn’t see this fantastic performance either, thought there was something wrong with his neck at times as he only seemed to be able to look backwards

He was dreadful defensively tonight. Clueless as to where he should be. Did ok going forward but doesn’t have the killer pass when needed. Bang average.
