I liked him in a half patronising kinda way, because although he wasn't really up to much initially, he was always trying like eff and was getting into good positions - you need to be there and try to score for a sclaff to go in, after all. He's turning into a right good player now though and it's going to get difficult for Brendan to drop him.

He’s a lovely player. He circulates the ball really quickly and always shows for the pass.

It wasn’t that he wasn’t up to much, he was developing.

Like Tierney, he is coming of age, not only because of his ability, but because he has played a lot of football.

8 of the team who played Munich on Tuesday were in the team that lost 1-2 to Ajax in the Europa league. It would have been nine had Jozo been playing.

McGregor scored our goal that night too.

McGregor has proven a lot of people wrong over the last year. I didn't think he was good enough.

I was wrong.

Right now I'd have him in the team every week.

Feck, I love those goals against Sevco. He`s a great example of what hard work and a good attitude can achieve and his movement after the pass is excellent. I still think he`s more of a great squad player than a first teamer, but I`d be happy to be wrong. Guys coming through the system are worth their weight in gold! Did he grow up a Celtic fan like KT?

he's certainly grown in confidence in the last year and he's willing to try and make things happen now when he used to be playing safe passes. real talent.

Think I read somewhere that his family was split between Celtic and the other mob. He has a brother who supports them but Callum has always been a Celtic fan. Something like that. Could be wrong.

Looking at the goals he was scoring before Brendan arrived I don’t see how you can say he wasn’t up to much.

He was a young guy coming through in a difficult time but still finding the net and getting games.

Wait til Ron notices what Ronny is not da man thought of McGregor.
I've read this like ten times and it's hurting my head :ponder:
Ron is a poster, Ronny is not da man is a different poster (formerly Ronny is da man) and McGregor is a UFC pugilist.

I said as much in my first post. You could see it was there, but he scored a few goals against Icelandic teams etc at the start of that season, then went off the boil and only really started picking it up again last year.

Great, tidy wee player with a knack for a goal or two.
Important player for this team since BR took over, and long may that continue.
Has become a firm favourite with me.

Good player who has proved a lot of folk wrong. Downside is that he runs with his arms out like a a Subbuteo player.
