Your first paragraph is pish. He hit the ground running with Deila, then got worse, until he was moved into CM.

His movement when we had the ball - yes. When we didn't have the ball he offered very little from a defensive point of view which you can't afford in central midfield.

I've already admitted, I didn't rate him early on. I still don't rate him as highly as some do but I'm far more comfortable with him in the side now as I was previously.

He scored some goals when he broke into the team, with a couple sclaffs, deflections and goalkeeper howlers amongst them. He looked a poor player though, as was pointed out at the time by a few people, and the goals were colouring the opinion the many.

I know I shouldn’t have engaged with you on the subject of McGregor but foolishly I did.

I’ve laid out why your talking pish in a few posts, you’ve several dozen showing why you’re talking pish so that I think that’s enough from us both.

Imagine football fans changing their mind as evidence dictates.

Personally I’d rather do that and be labelled fickle than be dead set in my ways on a player.

If you’ll just look above this post you’ll see I said that he looked a poor player despite his goals when he broke through, you know, in 2014 when that post was made?

My opinion of McGregor has changed in the last 3 years, that’s not unusual for most people I’d say, to change opinions on players over a 3 year period when they’re a totally different player from the one the initial opinion was based on.

You carry on though.

In fairness I've done the same with Nir Bitton over the years, I couldn't see a future for him at the club for long periods but now I see the value he adds to the squad, Nir always had it in him to contribute but wasn't producing and his confidence went.

It's difficult at times because under Ronny the players looked a mess, the same guys are demonstrating ability many of us believed above them. Since Brendan arrived any preconceived notions regarding our squad have been clubbed to a pulp.

He turns with the ball. With Rogic off form, we don't have that in the team without him, and it's essential to how we play.

I didn’t say there was anything wrong with that, but I don’t go from horrendous, to the best thing since sliced bread either.

In 2014, You think he’s horrendous, now he’s amazing, and I think he’s decent?

What you greetin about then?

I said in that post that it was a horrendous decision to award him a 5 year deal, not that he was horrendous, and I've been proven wrong.

I've said he was excellent the other night, because he was, I don't recall ever saying he's amazing.

He's improved to the extent that if everyone is fit & no matter the opposition we are facing an argument can be made for McGregor to be in the starting lineup. That is due to hard work and the great level of improvement in his game.

You're the highest poster in his thread and virtually every post is something negative about him, going as far as wanting him sacked after an off the field issue. Any praise towards him from you comes with caveats attached.

Poster doesn't rate player as highly as everyone else shocker.

You needed to trawl my posts to come to that conclusion

The high level of riposte I've come to expect from your usernames. Knew we'd get here eventually.

I'll let you have the last word then you can feel like you've 'won', save you from continuing to drag this on.

It’s not about winning or getting the last word.

You went after me and basically our opinions aren’t too far apart. So, I don’t know what your overall point is?

I could see your point, if you had stuck by him from day one but you didn’t rate him but now you do- fair enough

You think I’m sticking to my guns in order to make myself look good which is nonsense.

I’ve already said in the thread I was wrong about him and he’s vastly improved but I’m not taking it to the level of him being a first pick or ignoring his deficiencies.

I don’t rate him as highly as some do.

Simple as that

Ron is a poster, Ronny is not da man is a different poster (formerly Ronny is da man) and McGregor is a UFC pugilist.

McGregor has proven a lot of people wrong over the last year. I didn't think he was good enough.

I was wrong.

Right now I'd have him in the team every week.

I think Ron has went a bit OTT on Kingslim. We all have different opinions on players and we all have changed our minds on some of those players at one time or another.
