I seem to be the only guy in the ground who thought he was very ordinary for the most part tonight. Seemed to give the ball away a lot, and only looked comfortable when moved left to take over from Sinclair. Good finish though.
Agreed.

He wasn't great by any stretch.

Absolute drivel.

Brilliant last night and he’s completely won me round. I had to laugh at the floof who said he’s always been this good though. He’s really not always been this good - Rodgers has moulded him into an excellent option for us to have.

Even forgiven him for his miss in Germany last season.
Didn’t say he was poor. He was good.

Saying he was Brillant is drivel.

what i like about Callum is that he is always looking at turning and running at defenders.

Brendan's "hold possession" scheme often results in us passing the ball back from midfield, when the opportunity to play a pass through or turn and run is on.

His finishing has been a question mark for me, but in that he seems to have improved.

Would be in my team each week.

His finish v Sevco in (I think) the Scottish Cup semi turned me

If a Brazilian had finished like that it would be a global goal.

I believe he's a starter, every game.

Can't believe the incredulous views on the boy.

Some are very hard to please - if only his name was Callumnio McGregorianos

that's not the case though. He's a decent player who's getting rave reviews for being decent. No more , no less. He's a decent player. So is Stuart Armstrong. So are a good number of our players. Nothing wrong with being decent, but last night, he gave away possession easily on a few occasions . I wasn't the only one who commented on it at the game. It's not a crime, but it doesn't merit some of the plaudits he got for his performance. I didn't think he was in our top 5 players last night. Forrest, Brown, Tierney , Lustig and Bitton all had better games in my opinion. And three of them are Scots.
Forrest and Tierney definitely had better games. Lustig made one vital mistake allowing the cross for their second. McGregor was pivotal in a good few attacking plays. 86% passing accuracy.

That makes him our ninth most accurate passer on the pitch last night.

You weren't.

Just the two of you then.

Don't look for anything spectacular in McGregor, he does the simple things but carries it out very well. Plays fitbaw the easy way.
 exactly - we can't afford to have too many players who lose possession too easily - we already had sinclair and armstrong doing that and rogic also does same so to balance their abilities/risk out you need cm

Just a great wee player who took his time to develop. Perhaps time to look at the cookie cut-out approach to developing young players.

You can't look at that in isolation though.
Sinclair (89%) Griff (100%)!and Rogic (92%) are above him percentage wise but between the 3 of them only made just over half the passes McGregor made. Sinclair only attempted 9 passes.
Brown, Bitton, Lustig and Boyata are all above 90% but that is mostly square and backward.

McGregor is above Forrest (76%) and KT (75%) and only 1% behind Armstrong (87%).

Gordon (61%) tells its own story.

Not sure where you get your figures but I make him fifth (discounting Sinclair as he only made 9 passes). However, that doesn't detract from my point. Almost 9 times out of ten he made an accurate pass. That isn't giving possession away too much. You also have to look at who the pass was to and where it was. Probably 1/3 of Lustig's passes were to Boyata. Doesn't matter what anybody else did though. He had a very good game .

You may have Callum as fifth or sixth, depending on which of our players you are including.

UEFA have him as ninth of all Celtic players on the pitch last night.

Regardless of stats, I saw with my own eyes that he had a good game and took his goal very well

Bastardize all of them. About time those funky tunes were used for something worthwhile
