Took me a while to appreciate him, but I'm there now. Really like the guy, as someone earlier posted... seems to take no time at all to get up to speed. I hope he stays for many a year...

The perfect squad player. That isn't a slight on him or his ability. All great teams need Callum McGregors in them - players who are willing to come in and do a job in various positions and not complain about sitting on the bench from time to time.

He'll spend his whole career at Celtic and we'll be better off for it.
I think his selflessness and versatility will hamper his career. See James Milner. McGregor is far too good to be a squad player. He's a must start.

He always makes the right decision. A gem of a player.
Thought he delayed his cross for Griffiths, if he'd hit it earlier we'd have probably scored but he was excellent again. Found the spaces and made the runs that Rogic wasn't making and, as usual, didn't give the ball away. Deserves to start midweek.

Technical ability is much better than he gets credit for, and he has a knack for opening up defences with clever movement and link up play. Good player who makes the best of what he has.

Fantastic player rarely ever gives the ball away great in possession and very comfortable on the ball has been consistently playing at high level for us only seems to be getting better under Rodgers.

His movement is first class, his control is first class and he is reliable. He does what his manager wants him to and is totally selfless.

And yet if you're to build a truly dominating dynasty you need highly competent squad players who are satisfied to make the kind of contribution he's making. It's the only way you're going to take home trebles and make an impact in Europe.

Made a big difference when he came on. With him in the side we dominate possession and his movement makes other teams lose their shape.

Really taken a liking to him. He's worked really hard over the last year or so to become a vital member of the team.
Thoroughly deserved his new contract.

When Man United were at their peak under ferguson he used to say it wasnt the big hitters like Keane, Giggs or Beckham who won leagues for him, but guys like O'Shea, Solskjaer and Butt who would come in and play in the "lesser" games but keep the team ticking over or come off the bench and get up to speed quickly.

McGregor is like this for us. He can play almost anywhere, never seems to moan when he is out of the team and when he plays or comes on he gives you a 7/10 most games.

Becoming one of my favourite players.

Intelligent player who puts his ego aside for the squad and is clever enough to know he still has lots to learn.
