Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Willing to play anywhere - left back.
I take exception to both these comments

Rolls Royce engine and excellent timing in the tackle - left back

With the added bonus of being left footed as well.

He's doing well at the moment and deserves to keep his place. What that says about the quality we have at our disposal is a different matter.

Amazing what can happen when you play someone in the position they know.

I'll never understand the thinking that if you're under 6ft and not a tank you're a winger.
It's always been the same

Fat - goalie
Tall and slow - centre half
Best player - centre mid (or if your manager had fancy ideas 'sweeper')
Wee and skilful - winger
Wee dirty bastard - full back
Manager's son - centre forward

That's the way every kids team worked 25 years ago and I doubt much has changed.
Wee dirty bastard

It's true right enough - seems to be most senior squads are built upon similar makeups too!

I think he has looks better playing in the deeper role than he did out wide. At the moment, a good squad player. I think he lacks the pace to be any better than that but who knows. What I like about him is that he doesn't hide and seems to have a bit of character about him unlike one or two others in the team.
This First player we have had in a while that can whip in a mean corner!

In my case a right leg like a precision instrument to match my left foot like a magic wand. :ph43r:

I'm still of the opinon that he's pish and should be punted.

Edit: Although he has had a decent couple of games recently.

I thought he would do well if he got an extended run of games in a team a level or two below that of Celtic.

And that's exactly what he IS getting...

He had the hertz full back for toast on the rare occasions he had a go, i think there could be a decent player in there but his decision making needs to improve and he needs to get more involved in games.

apart from the first minute and his pass to Bitton everything he touched turned to a shampoo. His set piece delivery was honking and here was me saying to the fil before the game. "at least mcgregor puts a decent ball in" :ffs:

Sums it up for me. This guy has been one of our better performers recently, and he wouldn't have even got anywhere near a game in a Lou Macari team

A year ago I thought he was complete pish and used to dread him even coming off the bench. Now I'm thinking he could be an adequate squad player but shouldn't be starting on a regular basis.

I don't mind McGregor and I can see why he gets picked ahead of others.

His first touch is decent, he keeps the ball pretty well, he's got a goal threat (yes they usually deflect in but you can't have everything) and he's keen to play a pass first time if he can like yesterday's assist.

Always felt he could be a good squad player. He's Scottish, he's come through the academy, he ticks all the boxes.

This does my head. Squad player. You'd think we were Barcelona instead of the best in a rank league.
