Great finish today.

Good on his left and his right. Reminds me of a (much) lesser skilled Lubo.

I like McGregor, he's a cracking player to have domestically be it first team or squad player.

Europe is a bridge too far for him though imo, as was seen against Barca and BMG last season. Rogic even though he was off form today still provides much more class to our team in the European arena.

He's improved a lot since then.

He has but showed in the games against Rosenborg & Astana that he's still a bit off it in that arena for us. I actually like him more in the middle where Ntcham/Brown/Armstrong play, think he's better there at keeping the ball ticking over retaining possession and playing some neat passes and of course he can also chip in with goals.

Rogic for me though is first choice CAM.

What evidence is there that rogic is better at European level than McGregor?

Hope Cairney's withdrawal from the Scot, and squad means he gets called up. He deserves it, and the confidence boost would be great for him.

Best way to show him up, is to take his chance if he gets it - like 2 goals against England for example.

That's not the way it works. If he's called up he should go. Strachan won't be manager forever.

It's true - he's shut more than a few of the luminaries of KDS right up, more power to him
You're possibly even more sensitive about McGregor than remy is about Forrest.

:ph43r:

In all seriousness, McGregor has made major improvements under Rodgers. Bitching about people who criticised McGregor playing shampoo when he played shampoo is... stupid.
He was hunted without being given a run ffs lol - that's "stupid"

There was a lack of appreciation that talent has to be nurtured for sure. Be good to avoid that with any future prospects who have enough on their plate looking to forge a career.

Thought he done really well at wing back last night. Wouldn't be overly comfortable with him there against better opposition, but it's valuable to have players capable of playing in different positions.

Could count on one hand the amount of times he conceded possession last night.

He was his usual consistent self. Looked even better when he was playing through the middle after Hayes came on.

it doesn't really matter were McGregor plays, he never concedes possession on many occassions, a very good footballer.

What a great wee footballer he is. He must have had close to 100% pass completion last night. Superb stuff.
