I have never been a fan but I have a feeling the lad could prove me wrong. He certainly knows where the net is and he is at an age now where he needs to cement a first team place. Give him a run of games and let's see if his game has improved since last year

His finish against ICT showed a lot of maturity, can't think of many others (if any) presently in our squad that wouldn't have just put the laces through it and more likely than not skied it

I like him: he's always looking to make something happen, he has decent technique, he's reasonably quick and he scores goals. Hope he continues to develop with encouragement from the fans.

I'm not saying he's fast but he's definitely quicker than a fair few of our other options.

The fact that he currently deserves his place shows how truly ordinary we have become.

The fact that he currently deserves his place shows how truly ordinary we come.

There is that, fact that players bought for good money / wages are behind him now speaks volumes.

Yes he did. He also showed that he can pick a pass better than many of his more experienced and expensive teammates, and doesn't concede possession very often. Tierney, Forrest, McGregor, Nesbitt; in today's market these guys are our future. We should be showing more patience and backing for our home-breds, because in the long run they will prove to be better value than trolling the bargain basement of the European transfer market.

I think it's more like the bargain basement of the European transfer market has been trolling us!

Lots of us hate him apparently.

Don't think he's the long-term answer; played well nonetheless.

His 2 corners for the first 2 goals yesterday where excellent. Armstrong should take note.

Deserves his place just now.

I like him, he doesn't hide and he's not scared to try something
He may not be the best player we've ever had but he's better than some others we have in our squad just now

I quite like him. Not as bad a player as many people make out.

Not a world beater by any stretch but he's brave in looking for the ball and he's a decent passer. Prone to the occasional heavy touch but he's generally quite tidy.

I actually think he's far better in the middle than he is out wide but I doubt he has the dynamism to play that role for Celtic long term (especially not in Europe).

He has suffered from the same fan backlash that most of our home-grown young players do after a dip in form. A decent squad player for just now.

There was some guff in the media last week that Swansea were about to offer £3 million for young Callum. That the Welsh side are currently managerless didn't stop this guff.
