Great first half today and superb finish. Probably best I've seen him. Very quiet in second half though.
Agreed.

Not his biggest fan but has improved dramatically this season.

I'll tell u one thing, you'll never ever see him standing still - he's always looking to move into space for the next pass

Was never a massive fan. Now my arguments against his contribution to the team echo the 'What have the Romans ever done for us?" scene from Life of Brian.

An improving player who took his goal with composure skill and aplomb.
Proving increasingly dependable these days.

He also gets rolled out for pre match pressers, which shows the trust the manager has in him too.

Take a bow, Callum.
One of the most composed finishes you'll ever see.
Outstanding.

Like many I've underestimated McGregor, but since Rodgers' arrival has proven himself to be a very valuable member of our squad.

Well done Callum.

I hope he can keep this composure up in Europe, he had brilliant chances away to Monchengladbach and home to Barca. But he shat it. The important thing is is he's good enough to get into those positions, and proves he doesn't hide. He just needs the composure he displayed today and he'll be a 400-500 games for Celtic player one day.

If anybody reading this thread had backed the over/under on the phrase "not his biggest fan...", they'd be lighting cohibas with twenties right now.

And I say that as not his biggest fan.

He proved it months before Brendan arrived when Ronny realised he wasn't an attacking midfielder and moved him deeper.

I've grown to really like McGregor. Very tidy wee player, reminds me a bit of Joe Ledley the way he's playing now.
Feck, i said the same thing in the pub yesterday.

Averaging a goal every 5 games, excellent contribution considering a lot of his appearances will have been from the bench.

Very intelligent and hard working player no matter where he plays. Keeps proving me wrong.

Quite a few times since he's been in the first team he's been subbed on or started and I've gone "ffs", then he scores.

Had the fear when he started against Ajax and he shut me up. He was terrific at Ibrox too.

He's a very good player to have - always does his job and is a good finisher.

"The former Fulham player collected a long pass from Mikael Lustig before playing in Callum McGregor, who slotted home with a level of composure not usually associated with Scottish players."

To be fair, once upon a time, long ago and far away such aplomb WAS associated with Scottish players.
