They've shagged the golden goose down to it's last egg. Once Van Dijk leaves, there's eff all money left to make from selling off our best 'assets'. Plus we're no longer good enough to make the Champions League. It's the law of diminishing returns. But Lawwell will make his bonus again this year. Good for him.

And you'll all effing love it. You bunch of tramps. Buy more season tickets. Buy more merchandise. Just #because.

Remember the old board? Remember that auld boy, in the video, moments before, "...the war is over, the rebels have won" bit? Remember what he said? "Keep yer money in your pocket. It's the only message they'll understand". It's true. The effers know only one language. Starve them of that. They've already essentially done the hard work by keeping the guaranteed Champions League money from themselves. Eff them. Get them out.
Done it already. The KDS night was my first, and probably my only trip to Parkhead this season.

The old guard were starved out because they couldn't take in enough money to cover their complete uselessness.

This current mob have more than enough money and knowhow, and yet have still manged to eff it up... which somehow makes their mismanagement ten times worse.

Utterly shameful.

To be fair for those who hate wee strachan, as was said with mowbray, you wanted it playex "the celtic way" and you got it...
What? That was the Celtic way last night? Three midfielders who can't pass the ball? A striker who can't finish? Players not being chosen in their natural positions? That's not my definition of the Celtic Way.

The Celtic Way is now a wee cobbled path from London Road to the main stand.

Did you dislike strachans teams cause they were too 'cagey' or didnt push up enougn ? This has been coming for a couple years, last seasons group stage was gash and now wev got a manager who tries to play the 'attractive' football we all supposedly crave and we're out the competition. Whether or not theyr doing it well they are trying to play the ludicrous 'celtic way', tommy did it and all and it was a disaster then too.

The board has spent money over the last few years but a lot has been wasted on players nowhere near good enough.
Feck sake stevie may for £800k and we're effin about for pukki , bangura and the o'er wan for collectively abouT £6m.
And all pish.
So , money has been available ...not as much as we would have liked, but certainly money was given.
What we need to know is who actually chose those players , because that's been a large part of the problems which have brought us to where we are.

I wasn't a fan of Strachan's teams as I found them dull and what few creative players we had were stifled out wide, where they struggled to influence big games. That was five years ago. Not sure what relevance it has to the current situation.

I find it quite sad that the board are trying to use governmental type austerity measures on something that is essentially the entertainment business.

They fail to realise that the hard won fan loyalty can be eroded by mismanagement and a lack of appreciation of what we want.
A football team that competes, entertains and wins. If you don't have that as the 'goal', you can't be surprised when people decide to look elsewhere when it comes to spending their hard earned.

The Board have lost sight of the fact that every thing should be geared towards making the football team as strong as possible.

My point is that during that time when we enjoyed unprecedented success in the CL in comparison with what came before or after people were fairly vocal of their critisicm of our manager and when we failed to secure a league title they dumped on him severly and saw him out the job, the biggest criticism was unnattractive football, but I do not remember feeling shampoo after beating man u, milan, shaktar donetsk or that game against old co where we stole the league back, if you wanted 'attractive' football then your getting it and theres going to be a few casualties in terms of results, along the way.

But the board HAVE provided decent money for players over the last couple of years.
Between transfer fees and wages we've spent a fortune trying to find a striker , but the ones brought in have all been shampoo.
Why the eff we didn't go and take a punt on stevie may is effin beyond me. We hunted high and low around europe looking for a bargain and ended up pissing away several millions on a swimming pool of pish.

In what sense was it so simplistic ? I'll admit that I targeted the strachan thing cause its abit of personal one for me but if you think our support hasnt been talking all kinds of shampoo about more attractive football which mirrors the 'celtic way' for a long time, then I reckon youv not spoken to alot of celtic fans in recent past.

Had Norwich stayed in the EPL, then Neil Lennon would have been offered the job and I believe he would have gone. Thats goes back to April. The board would have known too.

So what do we do. We approach two former players with horribly patchy records as manager who knock us back. We then appoint the guy earmarked as No.2 for then to the top job.

We sign nobody other than a goalkeeper who hasn't played in two years (who in fairness has done OK) and sell a good goalkeeper and a young striker with ability but problems.

After getting horsed by a very average Legia side, we win the lottery and get a reprieve. Do we strengthen the team. No - the only player available to the new manager was 19 year old loan signing.

Utterly utterly pathetic. A disgrace that should see Lawwell immediately emptied this morning but won't. This has been coming for so long. He has rolled the dice so often and got away with it but finally his luck ran out. He is the albatross around Celtic's neck. And this morning I feel as if I won't be back at CP until he's gone.

Looking forward to his fan club coming on to defend him

Combined, they spent about £7m on damaged goods and projects that require basic control coaching every half time from Danny McGrain.

I'd rather they spent the money on one quality player rather than a bunch of predicable duds.

You mentioned Stevie May. We could have bought him AND Johnny Russell for the price of one Amido Balde. And I'd bet a pound to a penny that we'd have got far more out of those two than what we got in AFB.

You are so far off target about what is wrong with this club that it isnt even funny.

Having a pop at your fellow fans for wanting an improvement in entertainment at a time when our club is being run into the ground is utterly pathetic, self serving, attention seeking drivel.

You said "to be fair for those who hate wee strachan, as was said with mowbray, you wanted it playex "the celtic way" and you got it...".

That's about as simplistic a reading of the past 5 years as you could get.

The football under Strachan was shampooe. The football last night was shampooe too, but much worse. However, there are a million things that have got us from there to here, which is why your comment was so simplistic.

Instead of actually looking at the current situation for what it is, you're busy spurting out your six years of pent-up Strachanism.
