Know something, we're the exact same as the huns. Stadiums the same, fans are the same but it's not the same club.
Wtf does that mean? Stay off the glue.

Getting on a bit

Gave up my season ticket this season. Hated to do it (and kept it on for a few seasons when it was no longer financially sensible and couldn't make it to many games because i wanted to make a contribution ) but not another penny will.they get from me.

I just felt over the last few seasons they have lied and behaved badly too many times. Anyone in any doubt about his lies, google "Celtic 8m player" and read his comments from February this year.

Could afford.an £8m player, substantial funds for players, business done early for qualifiers, maintain quality of the.squad. The whole effing set are there.

In the last few years, every bit of quality stripped from the team and not replaced.

And thats before i mention rolling over and having their belly tickled after the Nimmo Smith fiasco, the living wage, allowing the fans to be criminalised and many other things.

I have seen poor celtic teams and never.stopped going. I miss going to the games but this lot are so cynical and manipulative that i cannot in good conscience continue to support them.

Surely we now have to start looking at organizing a protest? The guy needs removed from the club.

He got lucky with the administrative error from Legia, but to then continue not to invest in the playing squad to ensure the same thing didn't happen again, all we got was an injured dud from Aston Villa and a youth player from Man City.

It's actually surreal.

How do we start putting pressure on him to resign???
The guys at the front door are the only thing they'll listen too

When they sit and nod profoundly at peter as he expounds on the cyclical nature of football justifying the shampoo he's created they forget that the board's relationship with the support is cyclical too and that treating us the same way as the Kelly's and whyte's when your CEO is the only one gaining from our footballing failure eventually the times up for them

I think the Kellys and Whites would have taken that get out of jail card and did a bit of panic buying, like they were prone to do.

The arrogance to go into this tie with a team that had been humiliated with the only new recruit a 19 year old who had never kicked a ball in anger before (and who will be Van Dyke's replacement as he runs for the first train out of town) is beyond compare.

That'll be the balance sheet screwed then.
His policy needs investment to succeed. Since we're not rolling in it(comparatively) that investment needs to be targeted properly, not frittered on players who anyone who's ever watched football knows within 5 mins they are not celtic quality.

The 40m wages spend needs repositioned. We need leaders, we need to be keeping our best players for a while longer, if means the wage cap goes up to 35k, do it. Don't fill the squad with shampooe and it pays for itself.

All we have now is a downward spiral which only spending can stop. The very thing he's tried to avoid.

Your words ring true for me too mate, but they are just words. No one is going to do anything that will upset the apple cart, least of all the fans.

We have become inured to it, found reasons to accept it, laughed at the huns instead, and lived in the belief that Celtic Directors in the post Fergus era could never allow us to get close to the perilous days of the Families.

Wrong.

Our P&L and Balance Sheet might be a source of wonderment and joy to the big bonus chaser, but to have such assets at our disposal and not use some of them to provide a decent striker, a position that has been woefully neglected since we lost Hooper, is unacceptable.

I would not mind betting that in Lawwell's bonus objectives there is nothing about the quality of the performance on the park.

The sad thing is I think we have become so accustomed to it.

Lawwell GTF.

Take Park with you.

Deila and his management team of personality vacuums can all go as well and I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

PL can get to feck. We have been screwed by this man time and time again yet he gets an unbelievable wage. I said in the other thread that I couldn't afford a season ticket due to buying a house and getting married. Was going to pay it monthly but glad I didn't. Not interested in giving the club money if it continues to be run this way.

We expect to have 1 (one) new signing in time for the first leg. Presumably that's one new signing for the tie in that case?

Sorry folks. We're oot again.
Not the only one who thought this.

Really no surprise.

What is a surprise is that anyone in charge of a football club who got fecked 6-1 going on 10 by an average team would think otherwise.

Dereliction of duty.

Absolutely scunnered with it. You reap what you sow and we are seeing the outcome now.

What happens once we sell van Dijk cos there's no one else worth more than a few quid.

I know the KDS accountants will be straight down my throat, but this chart of Celtic's transfer fees and European prize money troubles me.

The board don't care about what we have to watch every week, why should we?

I gave my season ticket up a couple of years ago and I felt bad doing it. Had one since 1984-85 season and kept it going when I moved away.

We are a play thing for Desmond and being strangled by his man on the ground Lawwell. Everything about the football side is cheap. Cheap manager, cheap players, though far too many of them.

30,000 crowds will be common this season. The manager hasn't been backed, though I feel he is the wrong man for such a big job. He has absolutely nothing on his CV to suggest he can manage Celtic. Cheap option from a small minded soundbite CEO.

We have not invested enough but we have also wasted some amount of money. You can't buy every player cheap and hope to sell him for millions. I often wonder how much of a say Lennon and now Delia has over transfers. I may be wrong but it seems Park and PL decide. Both should go. I may be totally wrong but have a feeling I'm not.

How I long for the days of Martin oneill and debt! It's been constant downsizing since Seville , both in terms of the managerial team and playing squad. The board don't share my ambition. What's the point of money in the bank when the team on the pitch is an embarrassment ? The lack of quality in the squad is breathtaking.

Can't believe the board are taken in by Lawwell's 'cyclical' excuse for us being pish. Lawwell's austerity programme is having the same effect on Celtic as Gideon's is having on the economy.
