Right now. We're shipping money out of the club to God knows where. Its not spent on wages(the wage bill is coming down year after year) Its not spent on transfer fees(obviously) So, wheres the cash pile thats been accumulated this past few years gone? If it hasnt gone on any of above then you dont need to be Sherlock effing Holmes to see where your investigation needs to start AND end. Is DD using the club to keep the wolves from His door and paying PL handsomely to keep delivering? hmmm.
Hmm!!!! Desmond is on Forbes list as having net worth of £2 billion plus - Celtic in a good year have a turnover of £60 million not profit - I think you may well be on to something?
I wish Lawwell had 2 billion behind him and not the de facto Owner of the club, we might actually get somewhere.. ...oh, wait a minute. Tooooo far pf.
Either way is a no win for the Support as things stand.

What does DD get out of Celtic? Status...?
Surely if you're in his position, and with that cash flow, you'd want to see some success and enjoy some great memories - what's the point otherwise, very few football clubs will generate significant money for someone like him to pursue it as a viable business.

It's been put about before that the investment Desmond has, was made in the interests of his son who apparently is an avid fan.
The be-whiskered one allegedly has little or no interest in football. Don't have a source for this, but I've heard it on a number of occasions.

whether his dad put that level of money up for that reason is debatable though. Im sure DD thought we would have moved to the epl at some point, in which case he would have made a very tidy sum off of his investment...

About time he had a serious word with his old man.

They started a soccer team and the son got in touch with daddy who kindly arranged for them all to be togged out in a brand new Celtic kit. About two weeks later all of them got handed a bill for 70 quid each. Absolutely true story.

Whilst the British cup is out there it's of no effin use if we are pumped by everyone
We have no strategy apart from wait for huns to return
The board are a shower of suits who've passed their best not got the energy to work to make Celtic better but rather like hordes of them before sit and nod at PL and go around spouting bs about football when hardly any of them ever paid into a game
Most of them don't have a clue who is in the team but love the idea that they will gain reflected glory from unearthing the football equivalent of moneyball with ever so smart peter his super scout and the Norwegian unknown

Who did they expect to pay for their kit ? Old Mutton chops, obviously. It amused me that story because I thought that DD and the bunnet are cut from the same cloth. Every penny is a prisoner. I guess it will be down to the fact they are both self made men who came from nothing. No free lunches with these guys.
