This complaining and moaning on the internet will really shock the board into action.
I agree. Had a thread pulled which I would have hoped would have been a single point to call for direct action, it's deemed better that we just chat about it in here.

Ps, I'm not some attention seeking mercenary, there are many here who would hold much more respect and voice than mine.
I would much rather someone else had started something to get people united but chatting about it is somewhat reminiscent of this ....

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Not necessarily; everyone will have their own feelings about it, but I wouldn't be surprised that people are having feelings of despair. We seem to be a club with no ambition, no plan to progress, and therefore have a large number of supporters who are more than a wee bit, excuse the pun, 'TIC(K)ED OFF'
I do find it frustrating. I am increasingly apathetic about the idea of dragging myself down a sodden London Road to watch us pass the ball sideways against boring SPFL fodder. I am ticked off that I've already paid for a season ticket and the quality of the team looks like it is going to be worse than even last year. I think some of our signings are pointless and if I have to watch a Celtic team with Tony Stokes as its number one striker for much longer I might just claw my eyes out.

But despair? If football gives you feelings of actual despair I suggest your Saturdays would be better spent pottering around Braehead with the missus.
That's fair enough, but I think we're probably getting a bit bogged-down in semantics re. 'despair.'

That's enough for me and a few celts bhoys I know. I cant get a season ticket due to work so I go as often as possible. 4 hour round trip, cost petrol food, beer etc on top of the expensive ticket prices. Do the board put in anything to encourage supporters to attend, the answer is no. This has been going on for to many years, and the simple answer is the boards strategy is all wrong. The fans are not asking for investment that causes financial concern to run appropriately, we ask for every penny above that to be placed into the first team, so we can go and enjoy our fitba at the weekend. Its at the stage where prudency to this degree becomes farcical, and I am not going to invest my money in this club when they cannot even invest what is not there's.

They'll not a dime from me until they pay a living wage and get rid of Griffiths/Stokes.

I'd also like to know there 5 year plan. Although I suspect more of the same.

Sack The Board.

The board are going to have to look at the reality of the situation, if they continue this approach then they're going to lose their 'customers'

I had to give up my ST last season due to a circumstance at that time. The problem is I could maybe have stretched to renewing a ticket if I done the zebra plan which I was doing anyway, however nothing that was happening wit the club the way we were playing up until January, the board with their transfer policy I'm not going to as I don't see why I should put something in and get very little in return. This may seem a dickish thing to do but I think I've put more than enough having a season ticket for the previous 15/16 years going to away games up to 2006.

The problem is once you lose a ST holder it is hard to get them back now, as there is no waiting list, you can pick up tickets for any game, there is no incentive now for a ST. With the ST numbers declining this is going to cause a problem when do they nip it in the bud when CP is a third full.

We are in a unique position in our history and we should be doing everything to take full advantage for now and for the future.

No one is asking to get into debt just to try and spend at least some of our revenue on a bit of quality, the downsizing can only go on for so long. :(

Pretty much sums up how I feel.

We have had a free reign in CL the past two years. The failure to strengthen has led us to the situation where we are at the moment: an infinitely inferior team to that which beat Barca in 2012, soundly beaten by a Polish team home and away and face having our dinner given to us by Maribor.

You would think they would do the joined up writing and see that failure to invest in decent players and put an entertaining team on the park is having the effect of turning punters away- the emotional pull may drag us back but for a lot of us a watershed has been reached. Its nothing to do with the absence of any form of imitation hun team in the league, the entertain is just not there. We have had a unique position to strengthen over the past years with CL money and millions brought in on transfer fees- we have spectacularly failed to take advantage and the board are now reaping what they have sown.

They are losing fans and may struggle to get them back. No-one is suggesting for a moment we go on a spree that we cannot afford but to progress window after window in harvesting money and palpably failing to re-invest is just wrong. Loan deals are not the way ahead. I read Peter Houston some weeks ago talking about the extensive scouting data base we had- time to put this to good effect.

Without a shadow of a doubt Lawwell has to go

But therein lies the problem - the overpaid clown will not be walking out the door anytime soon. he believes in his "strategy" 100% despite the damage it is doing to the "product" on the park. the guy simply doesn't get it or if he does he simply does not give one flying feck.

As a support we are surely getting to the point where enough is enough. We are haemorrhaging fans at an alarming rate but the fact does not seem to faze the board or Lawwell in particular, they simply look for someone else to sell.

one thing I don't understand is what do we do when we have sold off everybody who would command a decent fee?? there is really only one left that would attract a decent price and that is VVD. What does Lawwell sell on after he has gone? we couldn't give some of the useless dross we have left away let alone get a decent price in for them.

we are not buying anything new, nothing with potential is arriving through the door, we are grubbing about in the fecking bargain basements with loans & frees FFS

With the money the football team has generated over the past few seasons, either from making the CL groups or from the sale of our best players we should be in a position to be buying a bit of quality - but that is simply not on Lawwell's agenda.

He is not listening, the board don't seem to care - as a support we simply must let our feelings known at each and every game until the carrots have to sit up and take notice.

starting Wednesday.

after this latest insult & yet another serious failure from our self appointed Director of Football to actually STRENGTHEN the side Pedro can GFT.
I think the role of his son in our football strategy needs looked at - who came up with RD

PL has run rings round the board for years whilst the support have gradually realised he's more into his own ego than making Celtic a half decent side

Fergus balanced team and finance a lot better than this and he was prudent

The old cliche is that no man is bigger than the club - PL is delusional as to his ability and thinks he is - he needs to go

GTF Peter
Been saying for a while now that I think Lawwell is a Narcissist.

Had a wee google, usually end of September. I have been searching through all old accounts all morning.

Hmmm, Convertible Cumulative Preference Shares, no likey

Edit - even they aren't that major. Just a pain

When are the next set of accounts out?
Our accounts are not now put " out ". They are unveiled, revealed , disclosed , trumpeted, divulged and any other euphemistic spin our board can put on them to divert attention from the less than stellar performances and performers , being progressively served up to the people who provide the greater part of the good financial news.

With the scale of downsizing in the playing squad, even into the first team manager and the way us as fans are being treated, can't help but feel the heart is being ripped out of our club.

I have just finished a 5 year secondment and will be going back on to shifts (eff you NHS  ), so I really hummed and hawed about renewing my SB, as I reckon I might only get to half our games.

I renewed our 4 books last week, using Zebra, as money was a bit tight this month.

Like a lot of you I am now truley pissed off that despite being given a 2nd bite at the cherry, we are yet again money pinching and taking the fans for a ride.

To be honest I feel like a bit of a mug.

Does anyone know if I was to cancel my DD and tell them to stuff it,if my Credit score would take a hit?

Or if there is a cancellation period?

I cant actually believe I am even considering doing this as I have had a season ticket for the last 16 years, but I have never felt this disheartened when it comes to our club.

I feel for you mate. Our board has long known the attachment that our fans have for the club, and played on it.

If there is a cancellation or cooling off period, I don't think your credit score would take a hit if you were within the time limits. But I can't say since I don't know the Zebra deal.

Yeah, wife and Kids.

They would be gutted, as would I, but like I said, likely we would only make half the games anyway, with them being passed to friends and family for the others.

The really effing annoying thing is that I went ahead and renewed despite the humiliating defeat in Warsaw, kidding myself on that as Celtic fans, the board would finally click as to what is needed regarding investment in the team.

Really havent felt this low regarding our club in ages.

Think of the children

I'd have been gutted if my Da had sent back my SB on a matter of principle with the Board - although when I was a kid, it didn't matter, we got lifted over.

Would you still be planning to take the family on a game-to-game basis?
