Said after the Legia game I'm not spending anything else following Celtic till either a) Lawwell is gone or b) Their is genuine investment in the team. The week since that game has saw us get an absolutely massive break and still the investment is an absolute joke. He's taking the piss. Again.
To be fair, that break is still up in the air. Say we go out and spend £7 million, UEFA or CAS overturn the Legia decision? As unlikely as it is, you can't spend on the notion you've got European football when there's a not minute chance that you don't. It's obvious now in the face of declining ticket sales we either need to sell one player for good money or get in the CL group phase to balance the books each year.

This complaining and moaning on the internet will really shock the board into action.
Aye, you're right, people should just maybe never share their opinion with anyone else, ever. That way, the board will be sparked into action.

Like Remy said, there's a game tomorrow. I hope those who are attending are as voice their anger as loudly there as they do online.

The suits are totally insulated and I wouldn't be surprised if they are pretty much unaware of the level of disillusionment and despair amongst the support.

But surely if people can share their opinions with other people, then there will be more strength in numbers - easier even to launch an organised protest.

For you maybe.

I certainly despaired at seeing us getting an absolute pounding in both games against such a mediocre side as Legia. I despair at the direction the club is going.

I'd rather go down the route of loans with option to buy than wasting cash on the likes of bangura, balde and boerrigter.

That's fine, but I'd rather try to improve the team with signings as opposed to nurturing players for other teams
When you have an option to buy you're hardly doing that are you, if the player progresses you enact your option, if not you return him. Regardless of the quality of player, the Berget and Tonev signings are relatively smart work given how we've gotten burned in this end of the market before. Hell last year we'd have shelled out £2.2 million for Tonev had he not opted for Aston Villa, this time we've got the ability to see how he settles before shelling out. Berget was another player who was well heralded before failing to settle at Cardiff.

As part of an organised rebuilt of the squad, I wouldn't have an issue with the loan signings at all, but given they look to be the two centre pieces of our business then it's deeply disappointing and worrying.
I was referring the loan signing of the Man City defender

I think it's looking pretty clear that there will be some more renditions of "Lawell GTF" tomorrow night.

As for the despair, from what I can gather from a lot of posters on here and a lot of my mates, there's something more dangerous spreading amongst our support. Apathy.

Out on a limb here but they've been more right than wrong over the years. Introduction of the "buy option" is something I agree with. We may not all like it but the Board will not spend or budget with money they don't have. We appear overly reliant on transfer money as an income stream, but we have very limited options when it comes to generating additional income.

I'm as frustrated as everyone else but our position in Scotland will always be a barrier to shopping in certain markets. Player development and prudent transfer policy is defo the slow lane. I don't see any other option.

Not necessarily; everyone will have their own feelings about it, but I wouldn't be surprised that people are having feelings of despair. We seem to be a club with no ambition, no plan to progress, and therefore have a large number of supporters who are more than a wee bit, excuse the pun, 'TIC(K)ED OFF'

The board are going to have to look at the reality of the situation, if they continue this approach then they're going to lose their 'customers'

I had to give up my ST last season due to a circumstance at that time. The problem is I could maybe have stretched to renewing a ticket if I done the zebra plan which I was doing anyway, however nothing that was happening wit the club the way we were playing up until January, the board with their transfer policy I'm not going to as I don't see why I should put something in and get very little in return. This may seem a dickish thing to do but I think I've put more than enough having a season ticket for the previous 15/16 years going to away games up to 2006.

The problem is once you lose a ST holder it is hard to get them back now, as there is no waiting list, you can pick up tickets for any game, there is no incentive now for a ST. With the ST numbers declining this is going to cause a problem when do they nip it in the bud when CP is a third full.

We are in a unique position in our history and we should be doing everything to take full advantage for now and for the future.

No one is asking to get into debt just to try and spend at least some of our revenue on a bit of quality, the downsizing can only go on for so long. :(

I do find it frustrating. I am increasingly apathetic about the idea of dragging myself down a sodden London Road to watch us pass the ball sideways against boring SPFL fodder. I am ticked off that I've already paid for a season ticket and the quality of the team looks like it is going to be worse than even last year. I think some of our signings are pointless and if I have to watch a Celtic team with Tony Stokes as its number one striker for much longer I might just claw my eyes out.

But despair? If football gives you feelings of actual despair I suggest your Saturdays would be better spent pottering around Braehead with the missus.

I agree. Had a thread pulled which I would have hoped would have been a single point to call for direct action, it's deemed better that we just chat about it in here.

Ps, I'm not some attention seeking mercenary, there are many here who would hold much more respect and voice than mine.
I would much rather someone else had started something to get people united but chatting about it is somewhat reminiscent of this ....
