OK - mibbe I shouldn't take the idyllwild post at face value but it doesn't change the (often discussed) position of how little worth Scottish football has.
You do realise that says 32 million ( thirty two) , not 3.2million?
Yes - and do you realise we get £3.2M for winning the league?

Is the 3.2m not a reference to spl winners prize money rather than the 32m for champs league.

Anyhow, 32m euros will do nicely.

Feckin’ loose change man.

Give it to Tom Rogic for being awesome, and give BR the CL money.

This is getting stupid

The €32M is CL (total income includes TV as remy pointed out) ... I'm merely referencing that we only get approx. 10% of that for winning the league

But yes €32M is a fantastic sum

Exactly so

2 things matter above all else, winning the league and qualifying for the group stages

This has to remain our goal for the foreseeable future. I just listened to a discussion on Sky Sports about whether Spurs can compete with Man City, Man Utd , Chelsea and all, and the stock answer was “ if they spend the same money or more, then maybe”
We can’t afford to compete with the top 20 clubs in Europe . What we can do is qualify for the groups, and hope for a following wind. On our day, we might just make the knock out stages, but it’s only going to get tougher. If we can hoover up the £30 million or thereabouts available to us on a regular basis, we will be untouchable domestically. The qualifiers are our CL, no matter how defeatist that sounds.

That's why not strengthening in the January window(s) is baffling.

Bed new players in for 6 months in a largely already won domestic season, ready for the BIG games in CL qualifiers.

I know that sounds quite arrogant, but it's essentially true.

Instead, we don't buy in January & floof about in the summer (with our 1st choice RB having no break & injury prone).
Chuck in the VVD sell-on fee of about £8-10m & it really baffles me, why we didn't strengthen in January in preparation for the CL qualifiers :ponder:

Maybe the players who were available wouldn't have improved the squad, in Brendan's eyes.

We'll likely never know.

There's but a slack handful of games left until the end of the season, and the silence from the compliance officer is deafening.

This professional commenced his investigation in September last year as I recall, and the lack of communication to date is disgraceful.

Come back Chilcott, all is forgiven.

Does this include any earnings from Europa games from UEFA?

I'm in complete agreement about the delay.

Just imagine if a negative finding in relation to Sevco* was issued just now on top of everything that's happening there. That would be simply the best.

Brogan, Rogan, Trevino and Hogan has confirmed tonight on twitter that the compliance officer submitted his report ages ago, before Regan got outta Dodge.
It's been left for the new CEO to deal with.

Board meeting today mainly about Hotel, but maybe something might happen at Barrowfield re a full sized indoor pitch. They’re not entirely sure we need one , but then they’re not training in the freezing cold and pishing rain.

Isn't there space at Lennoxtown for one?
