If the boards of all clubs admitted that the cost was the reason and not the principle behind not wanting to investigate this hilarious shambles then that would be good.

Then we can get the fans to fund a judicial review of the SFA.

Hibs is a private company, so share price isn't an issue.

Reading between the lines of previous comments made by Tracey Smith, I think the line sold to the Fans' reps was that Hibs would have to stump up a share of costs for any new enquiry and, since the SFA/SPFL have their famous legal opinion that nothing can be done, it would be wasting the club's money.

Representatives of the Hibs board are meeting the Hibs Supporters Association tonight. Sadly I would expect not much but bullshampoo at unprecedented levels.
The cost of an enquiry is a factor that put clubs off. That's from a very very reliable source.
Could be. However I have a notion that the potential costs of the outcome could be the real reason. If, and it's not a big if, any enquiry was to show that the sfa were at the very least heavily complicit with the cheating that went on then that could possibly open the door to compensation claims against them from clubs and players that were cheated financially. If such claims were successful then the sfa itself would need to liquidate. That would put the clubs in a difficult position.

I think the so-called legal advice was 'you can't admit guilt here - just try and bluff it out and save your arse'.

This is why i want it chased right til the end.

Once in multi generational chance to clear out the SFA and start again with a modern FA and administration process.
No bowling club bawbags that have no care about the game, just the gravy train and their next free meal or junket :arrr:

And you have the support of us all. However I think the sfa could be so deep into all this that they are worried about the organisation s survival nevermind reform - or even saving individual arses.

I think you can take that to the bank Stevie. They're fighting for their survival here, like never before. It's the entire organisation that's at stake, not as in previous challenges where individuals like Farry and Dallas were sacrificed. Root and branch reform is needed and can only come once that organisation is fumigated.

Anyone remember the supposed appeal against the wee tax case AFTER it became public that £2.8m was still outstanding?

Here is the story on Celtic Underground of what that was all about and how the UEFA Licence application for 2012 was presented.

A law onto itself. Rangers didn't get away with it but the SFA might. Poor news.

Game is a bogey, carte blanche for the cads. The anti conspiracy theorists on here will be in their element defending their Machiavellian spirit.
