September: Stewart Milne issues his 'lets move on' tome about industrial scale tax avoidance and improper player registrations.

October: Pittodrie awarded Scotland v Netherlands international match despite it being a crumbling wreck

Maybe see Easter Road get offered an international match soon as well!

Does the same criteria also go for BR, or is it only relevant to PL?
In most organisations the biggest and riskiest decisions are taken by the CEO.

In football once the manager is appointed it's usually the manager who carries the can if things go wrong.

Regan and Strachan is a good example. The CEO is a charlatan who should be hunted but it's the manager only who has been punted.

As far as PL is concerned he is earning around 1.2% of the company's turnover. That seems a lot for any CEO
I was going to look up the turnover & earnings of another company and compare it to Celtic but didn't get around to it, but I agree that I really wouldn't expect the CEO of British Gas or Ford etc. etc. to be earning 1% of the company's turnover.

I mean that it isn't an issue so long as the club is performing as it should be on the pitch and is gaining the resultant rewards off it.
Not for me. He is grossly overpaid. Rearranging the methodology doesn’t change that.
Correct

Leaving aside the morals and ethics of paying anyone £1m, PL is overpaid in comparison to other Scottish football CEOs. BUT that is not his market. In the market he operates - top UK private sector CEOs - he is not overpaid by any stretch of the imagination. Frankly, if he left Celtic, he’d walk into a job at EPL (and possibly internationally) at a far higher salary. He is extremely and covetously well-regarded outside Celtic.

Football salaries are bonkers but that’s the market - I recently advised the community trust of an EFL 1 club on recruitment. The CEO was being paid £120k and the director role I was advising on is going to get £80k plus car. (for comparison, the CEO of Celtic charity is paid c£80k).

Judging anyone’s salary on % of turnover is daft because turnover doesn’t mean a thing and is purely a vanity indicator. Put simplistically - Who’s worth more: the CEO of a company that turns over £100m and doesn’t make a profit or the CEO who turns over £10m and makes £1m profit?

If your boss runs a £90m T/O company and earns £100k pa then he is the worst paid chief exec in Britain.
More a £60m (average Celtic) and 'not for profit,' but has still come in for some criticism in the media, hence my grudged admiration
Gotcha now!

If you are heading for the game v Killie tomorrow and have mates who don’t use social media, encourage them to buy a copy of Not The View.

There is an item recapping Res12 and setting out how matters stand including the Traverso letter.

There might be further developments in the coming week before AGM from Res12ers, so it might be another week/s before publishing in social media happens, but the idea is to inform as many as possible before the AGM of where matters stand.

At start of September Celtic released the correspondence between them and SFA after July where one reasonable interpretation is the SFA told Celtic (and the SPFL clubs) to Effoff.

Unless a satisfactory explanation that clears SFA of complicity in 2011 emerges before or after the AGM, Celtic and fellow clubs will be entitled to tell the SFA in the nicest possible way – "You Effoff. This is going to UEFA and/or a Judicial Review."

Try Not The View blog. It should appear there.

It has graphics making it less suitable for cut and paste.

Cheers for the update Auldyin!

Out of interest - what scope is there for the club to lodge a vote of no confidence with the SFA/Regan should all the other routes being pursued prove unsuccessful?
