Anyone old enough to remember the vituperation visited on Fergus and Celtic when it became clear he was going all in on the Cadete affair will recognise what is happening here. We have always been short of friends when facing up to injustice.

But we always win, and we will win this one. Indeed, we already have. Regan and the clubs which have backed him against a review of the utter clusterfeck that is Scottish football governance already look ridiculous. No one with a three-digit IQ can possibly argue that moving on from unraked coals will resolve all that ails Scottish football. The SPFL has called for an independent review, FFS!

Heads will roll, new clubs will be recognised as such, trophies will be stripped -- maybe not today or tomorrow but inevitably -- and Regan, Bryson and LNS will be joined by Petrie and Milne, probably Budge too, in the bad joke repository that already contains George Graham, Jim Farry and Harry Swan.

Doing what is right always wins out in the end. And that is what we will do.

Wagons have been circled with all the main players seemingly fairly confident in their own self-preservation.

It is a stinking corrupt mess perpetrated to the benefit & advantage of one particular club over all others at all costs. Even with the vermin being liquidated we are fed a daily diet of pish and expected to believe the myth that they are the same club with the same history.

Never, in the history of sport will you see corruption so blatant.

We are on our own with this, the cowards running the rest of the clubs are either conflicted or solely focused on their own interests. They do not give a flying feck about the views of their own supporters regarding the corruption.

It was always inevitable that this would come down to us versus the rest of them. It is the way it has always been in Scottish football. The leading lights of the MSM will continue to push the hun agenda in respect of the story. They have no appetite for the truth, never have had.

Sadly the vocal support and wisdom from the likes of a Turnbull Hutton or a Paul McBride is not available.

It now boils down to how much our board want to push it - I'm not overly confident given their previous.
What do you mean "their previous?

Haven't the last few days revealed to you that the board were biding their time and waiting for the HMRC case to be finally concluded as well as the Craig Whyte fraud trial to be completed BEFORE they made their move.

The letters that have been published show they were lining up a case against the SFA from as early as 2012.

The default position for so many Celtic fans is just to be anti-board regardless of the facts.
I mean exactly that - their previous - if you've been fully satisfied with the conduct of our current board in all club affairs then good for you. The temperature in this thread pre-BR was rather hot with levels of dissatisfaction from numerous posters.

Actually I think P has got this one right in terms of the waiting game he has played and then calling out the corrupt Regan in the full media spotlight. I just hope that he follows it through to the end as the SFA stance will be to baton down the hatches, deflect, deny & smear there way into the long grass in the hope it all goes away.

(with regards) "the 5-way agreement, if other 4 parties agree, we have no issues with revealing correspondence"
Arguably 3 of those parties don't exist - old hun undergoing autopsy and the SPL/SFL merging into a 'new' entity

Lawwell could probably take Regan out tomorrow. For example, by asking when the SFA CEO discovered that Rangers (IL) were going to suffer an insolvency event?

But there are other targets. Other objectives.

Sorry about this but these posts, when looked at in the whole, are akin to some kind of ill thought out tele marketing campaign, designed to get a certain sector of society to part with it's hard earned cash.

I'm still stumped, unless of course you are actually wearing Davie's socks which would affect your sense of smell which you say you depend on.
No need to apologise and no one else is behind what I post.

I haven't explained myself too well but it really doesn't take the sharpest!
Would we win on our own? Would we weaken ourselves in the process?

So you feel we should back off from taking the corrupt to task on this, on account of the cowardice of
the chairmen of other clubs ? :nono:

Do you know what the definition of character is?
Doing the right thing when nobody's looking.

We're doing the right thing. We have smart people at our club and among our support.
We have right on our side, there is overwhelming evidence of malfeasance.

We were cheated, we were lied to, we lost income, we lost prestige, we lost leagues and cups
that we should have won, we lost good players, we lost access to the CL, we had to " know our place "
when we were ridiculed by Sir :boik: tenners for fivers, and by those excuses for journalists still churning
out their Sevco PR

We were told we were paranoid, our kids came home devastated at coming so close, but
ultimately losing to a financially doped, hubristic shower of cheats.
Oh and just to crown it all, once the cheats were rumbled, those tasked with implementing the rules,
ignored and bent the rules to facilitate the cheats, to more or less carry on as normal, even to the extent
of declaring them the same club.

Yeah, let's back off because it's going to be difficult. Eff that.

There's no way we issued that statement and then not have the evidence to go for their throat. For everything that's labelled at Peter Lawell he's not an idiot.

He's not going this far to just chuck it.

The club should come out and state from this moment on we will take no tickets for domestic away games, participate in no publicity for domestic competitions and their sponsors, cancel the loan of all our players at scottish clubs and pull our players from the next Scotland squad
That is nonsense. It's a logical legal fight planned not an emotive counter punch

This financial penalty the SFA imposed on Rangers*. Was it £250,000.

They fined us about £300,000 after costs when Tommy Burns wanted to join us.

What does that equate with?

I made the mistake of tuning into Sportsound last night.

On the eve of the world's most expensive football team visiting Glasgow to play the unbeaten Scottish champions in a top-tier tie that will be eagerly watched throughout Europe we had Kris Boydy Boyd's musings on where Lawwell and Celtic were going wrong. It's through the looking glass time when grunts like Boyd are given free rein to comment and lead opinion.

But buried in the hubris and protestations was a small but interesting snippet. One of the other contributers had 'phoned round a few clubs and he reported that many were afraid to speak out. English later tweeted that Celtic are not alone in their opinion, but did not name the clubs.

The reasons for them keeping the head down were, obviously, not explored - but isn't it about time they were? It's easy to castigate clubs, blazers and journalists for being cowards. As the pre-eminent force in the game it's up to us to lead - even if we have to appear to do it alone.

Wasn't Tom English also saying he didn't know/wasn't sure why those clubs weren't going public? He knows fine well why they're reluctant.

What also gets me is that nobody ever challenges the "on the pitch" pish when it's trotted out by (usually) some ex-hun. If there were no EBTs, and no fraudulent player registrations, those guys would never have been "on the pitch" in the first place.
