Is this the first time this letter has appeared?
Never surfaced before, in my memory anyway. Celtic tend to conduct such affairs privately behind the scenes. It shows Lawwell has not been as compliant with the authorities as many of his detractors have been claiming.

Kill them with fire Celtic
This. Torch them. They've had their chance to do the right thing and declined.
Burn them out so we can start again.
Metaphorically speaking, of course :ph43r:

Big if here, but what if we've kept back our spending in the recent transfer windows - cl qualification money, to fund a court challenge?
Would fans be happy for us to forego spending all our available funds on squad acquisition, in order to fund a court challenge to the masonic cabal that runs our game?
Personally, I would be happy with that.

A whole new level of insanity.
Hey! That's me throwing a positive to the board, for keeping back all of our pure mullions!!
Thought, you of all people would want to see some potential love going boardroom way.
Have you actually read any of my posts re the board on this thread? :ponder:

I'm expecting it to be too busy so I'm going down to Hampden to shove a letter through the letter box, angrily.

Seems a very good letter, making strong points. Let's hope we're continuing to press them home.
It's also useful in pointing out that Celtic's position has been consistent since before liquidation occurred.

Not that liquidation of Oldco has any bearing on whether players who played for them over that period were imperfectly registered or not, but it at least shows us that the concerns were put in writing by the Chief Executive of Celtic to Regan, and was done well before LNS had even been convened.
Was this letter not written after the LNS report, because Lawwell seems to be asking for the tribunal to be reconvened?

Edit: I wrote this prior to the subsequent discussion about the date of the letter.

What's the chances of them concluding that old Rangers were 'improperly' registered for UEFA competition but as the SFA did not know that at the time then no case to answer.

McLaughlin says Compliance officer looking at wee tax case and UEFA licence.
If they are looking at the uefa licence thing then it's probably because they have the get out already in place. Not sure of all the dates will allow it but i suspect the outcome will be along the lines of 'that bastard Craig Whyte lied'! Everyone else was duped and the 'club' did nothing wrong. Sfa to double Craig whytes lifetime ban.

On the main issue a few observations -

In his recent meetings Doncaster seemed to be trying to put all responsibility and blame to the sfa. Seems to be a split.

Since the supreme court decision Celtic have obviously went through the right channels i.e. the sfa. Celtic or 'independent fans' will now go external.

Regan is just hanging on for as many pay Packets as he can get.he will go but every month longer he lasts he seems to be over £30000 better off.

Must admit, I didn't think the club were bothering their erse about this & it would be left to fizzle out. I stand correct, happily so!

How long before the inevitable "aye, but we won the medals on the park" from Barry8 & "al boot eff out ye if ye try & take ma medals" from Alex Rae? Also, let's guess the former Celts MSM wheel out in support of the Huns.

Get. Into. Them.
