"Mr Doncaster also agreed with us that the Five Way Agreement (FWA) was a barrier to Title stripping. That is the FWA that no-one outside if the signatories has actually seen. McKenzie and Doncaster actually admitted that in one of the early drafts of the agreement Title Stripping was one of the avenues that could be used as punishment to Sevco, not surprisingly Green, and apparently more so McCoist strongly opposed that route, so that clause was taken out.”

What the actual eff ?
A clause relating to title stripping was taken out at the demand of Sevco's owner and manager?

And they're admitting it!?!
Taken out so it's not included in that agreement to allow Sevco to gain a licence and participate in SPL.

The cover up stinks and expect this to be passed back and forward like a well used scud book between the SFA and SPFL cavalry
They want us all (1) resigned and (2) bored. It's what they've wanted since day 1.

Lawell appointed onto ECA board

Scotsman Article

Quote:

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell has been appointed to the Executive Board of the European Club Association (ECA).

The ECA is the only independent body that represents football clubs at European level, with a focus on promoting and safeguarding the clubs’ interests on football matters.

Lawwell was elected to the role ahead of the 2017-19 membership cycle, with Juventus president Andrea Agnelli taking the reins as chairman, succeeding Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

The Celtic chief will also form part of the four-man team who will represent the ECA on UEFA’s Professional Football Strategy Council, and will also be involved with the UEFA Club Competitions Committee.

He is joined by Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, Paris Saint-Germain’s Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Ed Woodward of Manchester United.

Lawwell has been involved with the ECA at Executive Board level since 2014, when he joined the board after Zoran Mamic, then Dinamo Zagreb manager, resigned his position.

Other notable members on the board include former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, who was elected 2nd Vice-Chairman; Ivan Gazidis of Arsenal and Bayern Munich’s legal chief Michael Gerlinger.

Does the ECA do anything or is it just the equivalent of a swingers club with the odd "summit" at an elite skiing resort etc for rich football businessmen?

This is a big one, particularly after what has transpired with the Governing bodies.

Lawwell has been on other committees where he doesn't seem to have done much to help Celtic or Scottish football in general. One football committee is as bad as the next, blazer wearing self serving clowns.

Legia also represented on that board

Does it mean an end to the TIFO's or that they will bring the TIFO's and fireworks to the board meetings

Congratulations to PL, he is clearly someone who is very highly regarded in the corporate side of European football.
His appointment brings some prestige to the club and gives us an ear on the inner workings of the game.
Definitely a plus, a very big plus.

It's no really, John McLelland was on the exec board up until the Huns went bust. It didn't do them any good.
