The Scott Sinclair song where the GB all crouch down then jump up and go mental.
Come on you boys in green, chorus where everyone jumps about in the chorus.
The song where the GB does the lateral movement (doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo)?
Does anyone think they don't add something to the atmosphere / spectacle at CP?
All banned under the new rules.
As will be half of the song book.

And no more political stuff - Palestine, food banks, anti-fascist shows against right wing teams - no place at CP- seriously?

Roy Keane and his prawn sandwich brigade comes to mind - fans sitting about, waiting to be entertained - the sanitisation of CP in full flow.
You need to grow up mate, thats just childish making stuff up.
I wrote out exactly what was in the letter, this is my interpretation of what is in the letter. If you have a different interpretation, please enlighten me and show me the error of my ways and maybe help me grow up.
I love a well thought out argument - "you need to grow up" should I counter with "you need to go to more games"?
I accept your counter, and if you'd like to fund my visits to CP i'd be most grateful.

You've stated that the Scott Sinclair song and COYBIG are both banned under the "new rules". Thats just a childlike overreaction to being reminded of your responsibility in the safe standing area. Is that enough or do i need to go through the whole post?

You have taken the hump at being told your responsibilities of having a ticket for the safe standing section. A section that those you villify have worked hard to get for you. Its real toys oot the pram stuff.

And no more food banks? Really? Gies peace.

Is that not what he's pointing out - that there will still be food collections, even though it could be considered political?

And the movements made during those songs by the GB do appear to be banned under the T&Cs.

I think the OP is pointing out the club's hypocrisy and their need for a level of control that goes beyond any safety issues.

Crouching down and jumping up is now banned? Really?

I've re-read his point re the political stuff and food banks. It reads to me that he is saying food banks, being political, are now banned at CP. the OP can clarify.

Its the exaggerated overreaction to the T&Cs that is ridiculous. The club, a plc, is bound by laws and regulations. They are ultimately responsible for the safety of everyone in the stadium. Its naive to think theyre not going to have strict T&Cs attached to ticket sales.

The suggestion that these are set to stop fans creating an atmosphere and making the match-day experience better dont make sense to me. The board as an enemy is a childish outlook. The T&Cs are largely common sense. Unfortunately common sense isnt as common as you'd like it to be.

On your terms and conditions you're not allowed to give someone a loan of your season ticket. It happens. They know it will happen. They don't care if it happens. Similarly, they don't care if you jump up and down. But if you piss them off then they'll be able to point to a rulebook they're otherwise happy to ignore. No one needs to think they'll get chucked out for breaching the T & Cs.
It's about common sense really.

A genuine question the t &pc's mentioned crowd surfing? Does that go in there?

Much of this will never be enforced or is not enforceable, even if written down. The club benefits way more from a good atmosphere and mental goal celebration images that go around the world on TV and internet than they're willing to admit. Hence why I believe that in time whole carry on around the GB and standing section will die soon.

I sit in the front stand, same seat I've had since CP re-opened. The biggest issues there are people singing / chanting out loud (doesn't happen very often), people swearing loudly (normally me) and at cup ties, fans unable to find their seats and disturbing everyone's view of the game (very annoying).

I enjoy the spectacle that the GB bring to CP, the singing, banners, jumping around, possibly some of the things that attract you to Brazilian football?

The letters from the board come with examples of why they have introduced the restrictions. If I was grown up enough I'd copy them onto this thread, but I'm not savvy enough.

"Not to engage in rapid crowd movement or rushing (including lateral movement)"
example given:-
"The speed of crowd movement (e.g. through orchestrated lateral movement) could cause crushing, pile-ups or trampling.

"Not to engage in vigorous movement in a stationary crowd (particularly including moshing)"
example given:-
Spectators who sway, jump up and down or slam into each other could cause crushing or a progressive crowd collapse"

I'd say these conditions are pretty specific and will allow stewards to eject fans for jumping around - GB beware?

edit for spelling

The problem is, the things that piss them off change from week to week, and vary across the different parts of the stadium.

Which is why when these official communications are torn apart, the response of "ach, its obvious what they really mean though" doesn't really work.

I'm not stating my opinion on any behaviours here, nor do I have an easy fix that'll make it all better. But when advice is given which could result in people being arrested/avoiding arrest, there shouldn't be this much discussion about what it really means and how it can be interpreted or misinterpreted.
everyone knows what is acceptable and what's not

lateral movement - they'll talk to gb about it
pyro - no
political stuff - if done cutely and no fine you'll get away with it

the rest and to a degree this part of thread is just people playing with themselves trying to argue the toss about the board being bad

on this issue theyre not

On the hun fiasco that is where they are hanging out there and make no mistake i expect them to make a mess of this

Some of them wanted the hun to stay in the premier league 5 yrs ago and take points penalties so there will be no appetite for going after them - none at all

And the GB stadium stuff distracts from putting the board under scrutiny on what matters - a rigged game

Nobody wants to take the fun out of it. But it has to be tempered to make it safe for everyone. And the board gave to have T&Cs that enable them to take action when people act in an unsafe manner.

You are supposed to sit in your seat but do stewards chuck folks outfor standing up for a better view when theres a corner for example? Or are people ejected for wildly celebrating a goal? Its near impossible to define what is ok and what isnt so the lawyers that write these things will err on the side of caution. But nobody's going to implement them in some draconian fashion.

If we hadnt had the pyro at Hearts maybe the policing at the home Linfield game wouldnt have been so intense. Also, the political aspect is in the mais for UEFA matches due to their regulations. I dont agree with it but its their ball.

The board have been busy with statements, comments and letters recently. Have they made a statement yet or sent a letter to the SPFL and the SFA outlining the legal action they're going to take over the years of cheating in the top division?
