The Scott Sinclair song where the GB all crouch down then jump up and go mental.
Come on you boys in green, chorus where everyone jumps about in the chorus.
The song where the GB does the lateral movement (doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo)?
Does anyone think they don't add something to the atmosphere / spectacle at CP?
All banned under the new rules.
As will be half of the song book.

And no more political stuff - Palestine, food banks, anti-fascist shows against right wing teams - no place at CP- seriously?

Roy Keane and his prawn sandwich brigade comes to mind - fans sitting about, waiting to be entertained - the sanitisation of CP in full flow.
You need to grow up mate, thats just childish making stuff up.
drew, could you point out the bits he's making up?
I've yet to see a prawn sandwich on sale at CP.

I wrote out exactly what was in the letter, this is my interpretation of what is in the letter. If you have a different interpretation, please enlighten me and show me the error of my ways and maybe help me grow up.
I love a well thought out argument - "you need to grow up" should I counter with "you need to go to more games"?

it was a Roy Keane quote, not sure if they sell prawn sandwiches at The Theatre of Dreams, but think what Roy was getting at was the lack of atmosphere / involvement of the fans in creating the atmosphere.

You are taking every word in that letter as some form of strict liability. Celtic have to be seen as enforcing the guidelines that come with a safe standing section but we as a support are not going to get the section closed for jumping up and down at COYBIG etc. It's all common sense.

Why are the seats unlocked and down at UEFA games? Yes, because we are meant to be sitting, no safe standing section allowed at Euro games. Have we been done for standing? No.

you are assuming that your interpretation is the board's position, I'm assuming otherwise. What gives you reason to assume that your interpretation is correct and mine is wrong?

You need to look up the meaning of reiterated. I did not "reiterate his opinion". I have no idea what his opinion is, or was. I was simply interpreting what I thought he meant as you seemed to have a different interpretation of what he meant. Not really worth arguing about though, is it?

On your terms and conditions you're not allowed to give someone a loan of your season ticket. It happens. They know it will happen. They don't care if it happens. Similarly, they don't care if you jump up and down. But if you piss them off then they'll be able to point to a rulebook they're otherwise happy to ignore. No one needs to think they'll get chucked out for breaching the T & Cs.

I did not reiterate his opinion

you did. you talked about the bits that were supposedly made up. there were none.

The problem is, the things that piss them off change from week to week, and vary across the different parts of the stadium.

Which is why when these official communications are torn apart, the response of "ach, its obvious what they really mean though" doesn't really work.

I'm not stating my opinion on any behaviours here, nor do I have an easy fix that'll make it all better. But when advice is given which could result in people being arrested/avoiding arrest, there shouldn't be this much discussion about what it really means and how it can be interpreted or misinterpreted.
