Is there really no way to convince SPLOB that the SPFL board are all in the Green Brigade?

Still nothing from the club on this :twitch:
I'm resigned to them doing eff all.
There is no appetite from the board to do anything about this.
Yet they did put out a statement after the tax verdict. Seems strange to have done so and then just not bother after.

They are far too busy hunting down diehard supporters. Last season seems so long ago.

Whatever the board do about this, and whenever they finally take action, it's absolutely essential that their strategy is fully thought out and that they're prepared to go all the way. There's no point in doing anything at all at this stage unless they're ready to go the whole distance. Once the balloon goes up, it will be full-scale confrontation and there will be no prisoners taken. The other side won't hesitate to use every dirty trick and all the dark arts at their disposal so our people need to be totally prepared for every foreseeable contingency. That level of preparation requires a bit of time so if that's what the board are doing just now, well and good. I certainly hope that that's the reason for their low profile on the issue so far and, to be fair, I still hold out some hope that it is.

On the other hand, if they don't produce the goods pretty soon then they never will. This is the moment of truth and it's the very last chance to bring the cheats, fraudsters and cynics to a long overdue reckoning. If the corruption isn't rooted out now, it will hold sway forever.

This isn't just about title stripping or LNS. This is about destroying an institution which is dedicated to rigging professional football in Scotland because it believes it can make more money and exercise greater social control by manipulating its competitions than by running a clean game. That is what's at stake and it's a battle - perhaps even a war - which Celtic must now take on and see through to the bitter end. Nothing less than a comprehensive victory will be acceptable once it all kicks off.

They'd better not bottle it.

Perfectly put.

Bob Kelly did it, Fergus McCann did it. It might be a difficult thing to do, but it's still the right thing.

5 or 6 pissed up fans singing a vile song outside of football stadia, just because they happened to be wearing Celtic tops doesn't mean the club should get involved. Especially when they are unable to condemn racism towards a Celtic player, objects being flung at more than 1 Celtic player at games at Ibrox and Windsor Park, new songs coming into the hun songbook about the Lisbon Lions a few weeks after it becoming public knowledge that Billy McNeill is suffering from dimentia and the ongoing child abuse and sectarian singing at every hun home and away game aimed at our club and it's supporters!

Just as effed off with the board now as I am with the Scottish media. A total farce. No way am I deflecting away from the song which I mentioned was vile but the board really should have stayed out of this!

Getting on a bit

People need to understand that the club has to put thing Rigby business to bed asap. That means making a quick statement that just conveys what most of the support would agree with. Namely that this is appalling behaviour and has to be roundly condemned. On another thread Henry Clarkson is warning of what we will be up against once the next steps in the corruption scandal start to unfold. It appears to me that this is already happening. The support and GB need to be aware that those who wish us ill will use any and very opportunity to do us damage on and off the park. If CFC is to retain the high moral ground in its fight against the corruption in governance in Scottish football, it needs to be seen to be taking action against anything that might be levelled against the club and support.
The low life that sang the song deserve anything that comes their way for firstly singing such a disgusting song and then having the gross stupidity of recording themselves singing it!

Plenty things can be thrown at our Board, but that is taking it a bit far. Scared of the Record and the Sun? Can't picture any member of our Board who've even heard of those rags.
