God, if there's a way to bollocks something this Board will surely find it! They've well and truly made a rod for their own backs with the mishandling of GB dispute (not to mention the accumulated failures to stand up for players and fans of late), the mistrust is so deep they can't afford to stay silent. Imagine what Flag Day next Saturday will be like next Saturday if they haven't stated an intention to challenge the authorities? Worse still, WTF will it be like if we're dumped out CL at Rosenberg a few days before?

Edit: why close the GB section for 2 games? The Rosenberg game would have sufficed in showing the world they mean business, why also include the showcase season opener, complete with SFA Huns in attendance and all manner of corporate hullabaloo? Fearful of protest banners and a GB-lead anti SFA/ Board songbook?
Spot on aldo, especially the last sentence
Yup, probably with good reason too

Exactly, I don't think there's any hunger from our board to do anything.

If we were going to act we would have. The board will hind behind the SPFL statement.
Not what I'm hearing. SFA and SPFL being tackled with vigour.

Plenty of evidence of dishonesty to allow Celtic to do so. From early 2011 everything done by SFA & SPL was to stop Rangers disappearing off the Scottish football map, including granting UEFA licence when it should not have been, then allowing to trade for 4 months whilst insolvent, causing creditors to lose money.

All to much to ignore.
Yep . we all know that Auldyin, we know what we want to see happen, wonder what the board think ?

Be nice to hear something from them, instead of what I can only assume are inspired guesses from folks who may or may not have the inside track.

The source of that info is sound but it would but nice to hear something when there is something solid to say.

No point saying we are attempting etc etc. Becomes a hostage to fortune, so best wait until some objective achieved.

As usual we're asked to take a lot on trust re the board form folk in the know. It's a state of affairs that sees us where we, are frankly. They've done nothing in this area to remotely merit it.
For the record I do not like the nod and wink approach.

Id rather say nothing until I know what I'm saying will stand up, but when you get an assurance from someone you trust and questions are being asked, its worth passing on.

Honestly Jesus wept, unbeaten all season, The old Rangers gone, over, finished.

A top class manager at the helm.

If you lived through the Kelly/Whyte years you would not be crying about the board.

The board is in effect Dermott Desmond and please believe me, please believe me when I say we would be in a far worst state without him.

Whether the GB in attendance or not on flag day that stupid looking pumpkin Doncaster will be left in absolutely no doubt what the stadium thinks about him. The noise of the boos and whistling should be louder than it's ever been if that carrot appears on the pitch.

That has nothing to do with people calling out the board's spinelessness on title stripping and related issues.

Spineless?! Right personally I believe that Rangers are dead gone over no longer exist, no call me I naive but that is what I believe.

So I would rather out board focussed on improving our club, buying players to improve our club compete in the champions league.

If your biggest gripe is that our board is not picking over the dead carcass of an non-identity,then you lived in blessed times.

Wouldn't flag day be a great time for PL to grab the mike and give it both barrels to the crooks in attendance about the clubs next step.

Yeah I know.... would be class though.

nothing to do with 'picking over blah blah' it's about applying the rules to
one club (albeit dead) like they were applied to every other club that broke them.

Honestly if this is your gripe, I know they cheated I don't need those muppets at the SFA to tell me that, but I shall revert to my original point, if this is your biggest gripe with our board, then thank yourself lucky you obviously missed the early 90s

Apologies if it came over as if I was trying to impart a history lesson, that was never my aim, and apologies again.

Like you I was home and away, including our brief excursions into Europe, through those years.

When I compare the board back then, to where we are now it truly is night and day.

I honestly couldn't care less what they do with their old titles as for me they will always be tainted regardless of the findings of any independent enquiry, but appreciate others will have a different view.

Celtic were the club most affected by the huns industrial strength cheating though. For the celtic board to choose a course of inaction and silence after its been laid out in front of us and confirmed by the supreme court would be negligence on a massive scale.

The league and the SFA are taking us for mugs,i won't be a happy chappy if celtic decide to add to that.
