How many managers has Lawell appointed? 4? Strachan, Mowbray, Lennon and Deila?

If Deila becomes another Mowbray disaster and I really hope he doesn't, then Lawell has to get his jotters.

We'll sell Forster and VVD because there's a revenue gap to be plugged. That gap only exists because the Board refuse to take any kind of risk with signing players who might give us that bit of quality we need to get into the group stages.

The downside to the Board's strategy is that, once the good players are sold, all that's left are the players who aren't as good. This is one of the worst Celtic teams in living memory - perhaps ever - which is staggering given some of the duds who've played for us in the ten years.

Not content with the team shooting ourselves in the foot, the board seems intent on shooting ourselves in the head.

We never learnt from wgs time as manager when he wasn't given £3.5m to sign fletcher and this probably cost us 3 champions league money.
:ffs: :ffs:
I remember lawwell near enough said it was a mistake. We were 7 points ahead of the huns but VofH and McDonald's form had dipped and we were crying out for a striker. We ended up losing the league with the huns winning 3 leagues in a row which because of the financial mess they were in saved them going into administration sooner than they did.The mindset of the directors is the same today and isn't going to change anytime soon.

The Europa league play off tie better be on the effing season ticket after this shambles.
There are some teams in there capable of embarrassing us too.

Especially considering that we'll be down at least Forster going into it :twitch:

Oh, how i wish we could be taken over by a rich Celtic fan. Not asking him to invest £50 million or even a £10 million 'warchest', but, just someone who will loosen the strings.

No more PLC, i'll happily give my shares to anyone who has Celtic and the fans at heart.

The board can get to eff

Nothing to say that hasn't already been said.

They have become arrogant and complacent following the demise of the hun and have decided that the team does not need invested in to win the league and qualify for the CL despite all evidence to the contrary.

They have no interest in being actually good (and havent for many years), their interest is being a bawhair better than the opposition and cutting investment in the team to attain that level and no more.

Last year we were the width of the crossbar away from messing up the qualification despite a run that was akin to a effing by and they still didn't act on it. They followed the same arrogant pattern of replacing existing players with inferior cheaper ones and expecting the team to muddle through somehow.

And while they have been doing this, they have treated us like a load of mugs with their marketing of 'a club like no other' and their #becauseCeltic nonsense while signing people like Griffiths and
refusing to pay the living wage to the staff.

I kept my season ticket on for years after it made any financial sense. Due to work and other factors, i couldnt make it to all the games but i wanted to make my contribution. Well, i'm afraid it's not 'in my DNA' to be treated like an idiot and its not community service so i won't be back until there is a serious change in the culture of the club.

A control freak businessman self appointed as director of football, a horrendous situation to be in.

The conniving bastard has to go, thing is he is doing exactly what DD and PLC want.

Maybe the Board could consider a series of roadshows, giving the grass-root supporters an opportunity to meet and question Lawwell and the new manager.

They did this around the time of the appointment of the last manager and it contributed to the fans' acceptance of him.
