I've no faith in our board to address this.

They've supposedly been keeping their powder dry for the last 5 years pfffffffft

Spineless cowards
Their powder is drier than my Granny's fud.
Poor GRAmpa.
I see what you did there.

There is the option to go after the DOS used by the old club. That was left out of the LNS enquiry so the football authorities can't hide behind that. IMO its an open goal and success there would make the EBT and improper player registrations harder to stonewall.

I realise DOS is small fry compared to this but it's a foot in the door.

Maybe if the full stadium chanted 'Stand up to the cheating carrots' it might let them know what people are thinking.

Assuming they get away with titles remaining, their reputation will be irreparably damaged with every set of fans in Scotland (bar one or two clubs) and some clubs beyond.
It truly will be "no one likes us" and they will "care"; rather than a line being drawn and "moving on", they will get told every place and every time they visit of their cheating - until they die again.
Never mind the honours lists, the term Huns* needs an asterisk as well.

The board appointed Brendan Rodgers just over a year ago. You can't seriously expect them to meet - let alone exceed - the fans' expectations again so soon. It'll be at least 2021 before they decide to actually show any sort of interest in the job again.

The HuddleBoard have already started a thread asking who is willing to donate towards a challenge for a Judicial Review, started by a poster who knows his stuff called Darkfish.

I'm sure once a link is up to a donation page it'll be on here.

Laughing at how they got a feniany sounding QC to deliver their resounding no to justice in Scottish football. It does put the SFA's arrogant statement to shame by at least providing a reasoned argument and not treating us completely as mugs.

Am I the only one who doesn't give a eff about whether they get stripped or not?
It's not that I don't care, I just have a level of apathy as I know nothing will be done. Even if Celtic try, the powers that be will make sure it's all deflect and deny again.
Then why pay to watch football? You're being cheated.
I loathe the fact our governing football body is complicit in cheating and doing nothing to prevent nor atone for it. I still don't expect anything to happen, though. However, I'll stay pay to watch Celtic play.

There is also the option to go after Scottish Cups. They're not covered by LNS.

A reminder of Spartans comments when they were kicked out of the Scottish Cup in 2011...

Quote:

After a very fair hearing at today’s Judicial Panel we have been expelled from the Scottish Cup for the failure to register Keith McLeod. We have also received a fine which has been suspended for 12 months.

“We submitted Keith’s forms back in July. It was returned by the SFA as we had omitted the commencement dates from one of the forms. We didn’t receive the return letter so we assumed all was in order. Unfortunately we failed to check with the SFA that the form had been registered correctly. The SFA accepted that we had not been trying to gain an unfair advantage.”

I understand the logic of folk who want to still watch Celtic. I can't pay into a game that knowingly allows cheating by one club to prosper.

Firstly it is one counsel's opinion - i'm sure there'll be other senior counsel of equally high standing who may take a contrary view

Secondly, the statement that its too late to appeal or have the limited basis of the LNS decision challenged ie EBTS were legal may open up officers to litigation given their scoping of the commission

This would essentially be addressing whether the LNS commission was inappropriately scoped in such a manner as to prevent a decision on ultimate determination of the illegality of the EBTS - and whether this inappropriateness was unforseeable, negligent or worse still

Long way to go on this

This bullshampoo is from the statement released this morning. The finest QC in the land is clearly a "level 5" genius

"Secondly, there has been some suggestion that the Commission had an incomplete understanding of the full range of undisclosed payments (though this has not been demonstrated)"

This is exactly the approach that should be taken; if you kick over one domino the others have to fall.

No need for a statement today.
Get tonight's match out the way and then if there was ever an opportunity for Peter Lawell and the board to galvanise, unite the supporters and regain any lost trust.....then this is surely it.

What rule was it that Livi were punished under for non-payment of tax?

The opinion from today says you can't go after them for non-payment of tax because that rule was only adopted in 2012. Livi's payments stem from 2010 and 2011.
