Stewart Milne can sook ma baws.

Gutless coward.
Looks like it will be the fans then.

Too late to refuse season tickets now, so why not refuse to attend Scotland games, the league cup, and Scottish cup over this season. This will be hard to achieve across all clubs but would have a desired effect of having empty stands on TV and explaining why.

I wonder what questions the QC's were asked to give advice on?
Is it not true that anyone who bought a ST on a payment scheme has 30 days to pull out?.
I've thought all along that Celtic fans may have to be prepared to do the unthinkable for justice to be done in this. I'm not sure they are (rightly or wrongly).

Not surprised by Milne's comments at all. It was always going to be Celtic that drove any challenge forward.

I note that Milne, like the others, doesn't spell out why they never cheated. Would really love to read this top legal advice.
I thought the SFA suggested that there was no basis in pursuing a case against an entity that in effect no longer exists.

All I've read from them is there being limited scope and limited sanctions, as per the advice of a 'top' Q.C.

It's easier to shift the debate at least in the short term and let the fans argue over closure of a section.

What can you expect when a club isn't willing to publicly defend a player who's been booked for pointing out that's had a glass bottle thrown at him. Kowtow to the overlords of the game.

Getting on a bit
[ * * * * * * * * * * ]
Milne is/was a two bit house builder until he got in with the banks in the 1980/90s. Sounds familiar?
He is simply the Aberdeen version of Minty.
Make no mistake the football is only part of this story. The much bigger story is the network of relationships between the banks and a group of business people who were allowed to run up billions of pounds of debt that eventually the tax payer was forced to pick up!
Milne wants to close all this down asap cos he was up to his arse in it all.
Hopefully the Sheep support will set him straight

Hopefully this situation is resolved.
The Green Brigade bring a lot of good and atmosphere to Celtic Park.

I do believe their next banner should be something along the lines of Celtic Board quick and vocal in judging GB but silent vs years of cheating. THAT would, i am sure, unite many fans (like me) who think they were wrong on wednesday night to be totally supportive of their grievance.

See if you guys want that kind of banner, why don't you make one and stop relying on someone else to speak on your behalf?

failure to call the scum out for the cheats that they are - failure to question the LNS whitewash - failure to insist that titles / trophies are stripped / failure to question why SFA granted diedco a European license when they were due tax and in doing so denied Celtic serious money - failure to question the racist, sectarian bigotry that comes from ibrox - failure to question the racist, sectarian bigotry and violence towards our players against linfield, but happy to condemn the GB - our board really do look after the fans.
you forgot to mention handing over of personal details of innocent fans so
they and their families could be subjected to police dawn raids and held without charge.

fans who are innocent until proven guilty locked up over weekends on bs charges and it
was the celtic plc board who gave the police everything they needed to do this.

utter karats

I find all this talk about the club handing over personnel details of fans very, very hard to believe. Any one who does believe it should write to the Scottish Information commissioner. Organisations can get quite a kicking over data protection act beaches now days and if Celtic at guilty of this they should get punished.

The Scottish Information Commissioner doesn't deal with data protection, the UK Information Commisioner does.

how do you think the police knew which houses to raid at 6am?

Na, just escalates everything into a fans v Board row. We are all Celtic, let's not have a public fight.
I do agree however about the Griffiths booking. I'm disappointed Celtic did not aggressively defend him for the most ridiculous booking ever.

As chris has waded into the GB debate and the GB detractors seem to think that proves their point, I'll add this here

fair and square sutton
I've mentioned before that you will never get Celtic players who played during the cheating years to admit that Rangers players were superior to them. That's really what Sutton would have to admit if he took a stance in favour of title stripping, that Rangers had an advantage because they could afford better players. These are proud ex-players who believe they were just as good if not better than their rivals, irrespective of how they were paid.
I know they still cheated, but ex-players like Sutton are more concerned with their own image IMO.

Apologies - I got mixed up with Scottish foi . This time on a Saturday night is maybe not the best time to post! Nevertheless the point still stands that if anyone thinks Celtic handed over personal information they weren't legally obliged to they should report it to the information commissioner.

No apology necessary.

The KDS legal beagles might be able to comment further, but I think the club could legally pass on addresses to plod if requested as part of a criminal investigation, as there is an exemption in data protection law for this purpose.
