(Disclaimer - I've no qualms about the filthy shenanigans of the uber rich being dragged out into the light) me neither but lets have a bit of consistency here- GLIB have been found guilty of 42 charges of tax evasion and I don't see the MSM trying to contact him or Sevco FC repeatedly to discuss it?

Front page splash of tomorrow's Herald is something about Dermot Desmond being under pressure to clear air on 'money laundering'.
I assume this squirrel speaks Latvian?

Must be bad news over govan way heading out soon.
Looking at that site, it has a curious fiixation on Celtic. State Aid case, Lennoxtown, Betdaq.... but entering Dave King into the search bar returns F all. The only mention of the huns is an article headed "HRMC'S oppression of Rangers FC." ;)

The article also slips in "funding terrorism."

It's also "closed for comments." Obviously they don't want pages and pages of people asking why these journalists have never asked any questions on David Murray to this day. Why they didn't ask any questions on Craig Whyte - until it was too late. Why they uttered not a peep about Charles Green and why they have said nothing on David King who, unlike Dermot Desmond, IS a convicted criminal.

Hope they keep at it. Desmond will bury them.

In every newspaper in Ireland, every news story that mentions the name of Dermot Desmond is drawn to the attention of the lawyer. A most litigious individual is our Dermot.

The Herald should tread warily.

As for that website, its sole purpose is to try to dig up dirt about Celtic.

It probably broke the hearts of the Herald hacks to include this bit which I’m sure, their lawyers insisted on "There has been no suggestion Mr Desmond, as a shareholder or board member, had any knowledge or involvement in wrongdoing.”

As for the faux outrage because he won't he talk to the Herald and "clear the air"? - Anyone who thinks he would, could, or should, knows nothing about how corporate duties work. Of course, the Herald knew that when they asked him. As for pestering Celtic about it, FFS they are trying really too hard!

It was summed up on the Press Report this morning on BBC Scotland along the lines of "Intersesting but no smoking gun and no real substance". Or, as another presenter said, "Business man has shares in a bank".

This might sound a wee bit like conspiracy, and perhaps it is, but reading the above link that Auldyin posted, it points more toward something I've thought of over the last couple of years based on how the situation has developed since the inception of sevco and in relation to, more so, the concept of 'rangers'. It is this, that the clubs (including our own), and senior reps from the SFA and the SPFL got together at some point back in 2012 and determined that it's they who 'need' a 'rangers' to exist in Scottish football and one will exist in order that the finance a 'rangers' generates and 'secures' is not lost to the game in Scotland. At that potential meeting, sporting integrity of the game in Scotland was not on the short-minded agenda. How to keep alive the concept of a 'rangers' and not to lose the cash the concept brings for other clubs (ours gaining the most) was the sole goal of that potential meeting.

As time has gone on over the last four years, and in particular witnessing the lack of our own board's negative reaction in relation to what's conspired around 'rangers' recently has made me think that perhaps the above potential meeting might not be too fanciful.

What none of the clubs, and so-called governance custodians, reckoned with was the determination of fans, particularly Celtic supporters and the res 12 guys, to keep pushing for sporting integrity in the light of its lack of implementation around that concept of 'rangers'. Bit-by-bit, and again reading the link, Auldyin and others are pushing all concerned into a corner to give very valid, and needed, answers.

The Big Lie only furthers one thing in my mind when it comes to the concept of a 'rangers': integrity is secondary and cash is king, no matter the cost.

Absolutely no excuses for not loosening the purse strings. Rodgers has delivered CL football now deliver him 3 or 4 better players.

This is now the time to build momentum. Build a good team and nervy nights like tonight won't happen.

Now is the time for the board to lead.

Unforgivable if they let us down again.

After watching that we need 2 or 3 quality players of Sinclair's quality. Spend upwards of 7m on them and shift quite a bit of the deadwood and we have a real team for the next few years. Only small additions would be needed then.

A right back, a central midfielder who can get stuck in and shield the defense.

Absolutely this. He's satisfied his end of the bargain. Time for the Board to meet him halfway now.
