This moronic response has to be the most tired and tedious on KDS. "That you, Peter?" :brickwall: FFS!

I'll wait for word from the Resolution 12 bhoys before I get all bent out of shape.
That you Peter ?
Twice you've said that mate and it wasn't funny the first time.

You can bang on about Celtic not making a statement but everyone saying Celtic have done nothing are wrong. .it's as simple as that.

The important bit has been done and it's now with UEFA with Celtic's official involvement.

What happens now is up to UEFA.
What have Celtic done?
We've been here before with the Club 12 vote, haven't we?

A lot of foamy mouthed nonsense about the need to pyoor release a statement, like the majority of other clubs, who often did so incoherently.

No. Celtic turned up, voted No, then told everyone why. Seemed pretty simple at the time.

If the decision ends up going through UEFA arbitration, and then potentially CAS, I am not so sure that flowery club statements full of piss and wind are necessarily going to help our cause.

Focusing on the details of the alleged breach and why it is a significant governance issue is likely to yield a better outcome.

Any legal representatives of the club would not be doing their job if they weren't advising against such a move.

The opposite of the right thing to do is brandish a wordy, irate, obnoxious club statement, possibly written by an amateur cartoonist with a Jar Jar Binks fetish, which may serve only to wind up the very people you expect a fair hearing from.

It seems that we may have added up to 12,000 season ticket holders adopting the approach that we have so far, so it would indicate its not a major red line for the wider support. Releasing a statement that is, not Resolution 12 itself.

If you and other deliberately ignore it because some would rather just have a go at the club then there isn't a lot I can do about that.

You continually allude to the club having done something on this, but I don't think you've ever said what that something is. What have they done?
And if they have why are they to spineless to come out publically and say so?
It's not necessarily cowardice not to come out all guns blazing.

I hope they are working in the background and that there is a good reason for the low profile. I would also hope that the fact that the Res 12 guys haven't criticised the club is a good sign.

But I would take nothing for granted in this situation

No because they know what the club is doing/has done.

Yes a statement would put paid to some of the rubbish being spoken on this but they will have reasons they haven't issued one yet.

What details are you looking for?

They have sent their query to UEFA and asked them to investigate it.. there's nothing more they can do in regards to getting action on this. It's now up to UEFA.

Your assertions in previous posts imply you have certain knowledge that Celtic have contacted UEFA.

That may be so, and I truly hope they have.

However I find it ironic that you refute the need for the club to say anything, yet you are happy to do so.

If as you argue, it is appropriate for the club, and the Res 12 folks to stay silent, why don't you ?

Or are your posts on this subject an act of faith ? Or a need to gain attention ?

For the avoidance of any doubt , I am entirely happy if the club keeps it's own counsel until it feels the time is right.

I'm just curious to know your basis of certainty.

Can you show me where I refuted the need for the club to say anything?

As for staying quiet, I probably would have if I didn't see rubbish being spoken on the subject from some posters on here.

I know one of the guys dealing with Celtic on this so i'm posting what I know.

Man, if season tickets are flying off the shelves it's because of Brendan Rodgers' appointment, and the hope that such ambition heralds an end to the policy of austerity that bedivilled every aspect of the club (apart from Lawwell's remuneration and power base).

There were many, many ST holder who, like me, had resolved not to renew unless the Club demonstrated an intent to prioritise onfield achievement over business activities - team sheet before balance sheet - and the raft of other issues that lead to the disconnect between the Board and the support. The Board's apparent inactivity on Resolution 12 and the need to defend the Club's past, present and future interest were among the beefs we held, and recent comments from the R12 camp have not made for encouraging reading*

The fear is that Lawwell will contrive to allow R12 to wither on the vine while we are distracted by the Brendan feel good factor. A simple statement confirming The Club's support of the aims of R12 and of The Requisitioners would go a long way to assure fans that this Board, which has badly let us down in recent years, are on the same page as us at last.

*wee bit vague, I know, but a couple of months ago on of the R12 team posted on here of his disillusion with the process and of his belief that Lawwell had been stringing them along all the time

Good shout Aldo, the jury is still out on the board with respect to their activity or non activity on res 12.

No one is asking for foamy mouthed nonsense, as previously suggested, but the subject is of immense importance and goes to the heart of whether the game is bent or not.
