Interesting take on why DD pushed the boat out:

Give the writer, wouldn't be surprised.

I'd kinda warm to him if it was true and he wanted to grind them into the dirt.

No real reason to doubt it given the writers 'connections' but funny to think the lack of dignity amongst the brown brogued sevco board has backfired massively.

Remember reading on here that Desmond left immediately after game and a few folk outraged. Whilst I left immediately for a greet and to get blotto Desmond was obviously busy devising a cunning plan to keep the Huns in their place for years to come. :lolhuns:

I wouldn't be at all surprised. One of their director's, one of the Rrrrrreal Rrrrrainjurs Men - Gilligan? - was quoted after their flag day giving it the 'revenge over those who did us down we have long memories' guff. Not some obscure, back room type, this was a major shareholder and one of the movers in the hostile takeover, trash talking like an ignoramous, coming across as the thickest manifestation of Copeland Road Man, all Daily Record logic with the ever present undercurrent of violence. Was he willfully ignoring the facts and playing to the gallery, or just so blinded with the bile that characterises them he had lost any capacity for reason? Either way, no excuse.

They're old skool Huns, two-bob chancers without an ounce of class between them.

That hits the nail on the head Aldo. A classless bunch of mutant inbreds.

I hope just a little of that story is true about Desmond. And if you're reading this Dermot, let this be just the start. See that lad Ibrahimovic......... ;)

Did he not leave before the end? This would give credence to him being disgusted by their behaviour and sending a message as such.

He left before the penalties - The sevco directors may have pissed him off but it is a lot of tosh that they made DD's mind up - Ronny being away :Bye: was decided before Christmas and they knew they had completely downsized the heart out of the Support even whilst winning leagues and had to start rectifying the apathy and malaise - Thankfully they have - Now back the Manager with some quality as opposed to quantity signings.

This is just a start, still a long way for the board to go before we should start bigging them up. They deserve praise for getting us a top manager but it needs to be supplemented with decent quality players , and a set of balls over res 12.

If the story is to be believed then DD believes he was due kudos from Sevco directors for toeing a party line that allowed the facade to continue at the expense of making himself unpopular with Celtic fans.

Instead of acknowledgement of this he is hearing them spout that we kicked them when they were down and that has irked him. Supporting res 12 maybe his way of reminding them that they may have just bit the hand that fed them.

A lot of conjecture on a story without any quotes, why not though?

Gilligan is most defo an old school "Rangers man" :ffs: Tennants Brewers man and boy King we know all about
Murray appears very much the modern face of Rangers. Appearances of course can be deceptive

The only one who I'd have any time for would be their CEO who, in business, always seemed a nice quiet unassuming guy - wtf he is doing there is beyond me

DD has responded which is great but my plea to him would be to get hands on or get one of his sons in. So many opportunities have been missed since Seville to change environment and get Celtic on a secure sustainable base which also allows us to perform at a CL level

And much as we are chuffed and pleased they (well DD) has finally got the finger out for Celtic let's not forget the Board whether it be PL himself or as his remit from above had eventually downsized the Club so badly that the apathy and malaise around the place meant their previous Aces used in the past to get the Support to part with their cash were no longer going to work and they ended up using one of them "Club like no other" to cover up the seats of the very Supporters they had lost.

'DD has responded which is great but my plea to him would be to get hands on'

'let's not forget the Board... eventually downsized the Club so badly that the apathy and malaise around the place meant their previous Aces used in the past to get the Support to part with their cash were no longer going to work'
