Radio scotland saying we've spent somewhere north of 35m since 2011 on 51 (fifty one  ) players. That's fees. Not wages or signing on fees.
A proper scouting system spending that kind of money on about 1/3 of that number added to a manager who knows how to set up a team would have taken us to the CL every year. Never mind a shrinking market, it's completely sustainable, or it was. It's a long way back from the shambles we've become.

What a effing waste.
How much did we bring in during that period? Not saying we havent pissed away a load of money. Just think it shows a bit of balance having both figures.
Around 40m they said, which seems a bit light to me. Wanyama, Forster, VVD, KI, Hooper would be more than that.
Yes, but transfer fees are often paid in installments so they would probably not have received all of it up front.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
How undignified, to leave before the end
Obviously they don't believe in the old maxim about a Captain going down with his ship!
DD probably didn't want to give Kingy the chance to put the bite on him for a few bob
PL - just a cowardly bandit- it it's true!
They would have been nowhere near the support after the game if they didn't want to be!
Chateau du Lait's Greatest Ever Sevconian :carrot: saw grown men cry :ffs: and then he and all the Sevconian Directors :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: also ended up in tears :psythere: - Take that to the truth bank Declan!!!!
Were they greeting cos DD body swerved the begging bowl they had or cos they now had to pay a bonus they hadn't really planned on, according the chief lying carrot himself

I never thought about the bonus - They will be in crisis behind the scenes about that but the Lying King will make a few calls and have it sorted within the hour. :)

Edit - The pain of Sunday must be easing just a fraction as I was back to winding up Sevconian winkers today - Needless to say the thick fecks were biting.

Hearing Lawwell has been offered the Sunderland CEO job, not heard if he is going to accept it though however I imagine he will.
I posted on here a good while back that he did not give a flying fig about Celtic. He probably did at one time but that was a long time ago.

Absolute rubbish!

You may passionately disagree with some / most / all of his stewardship of The Club (entirely your prerogative) but he passionately loves Celtic as much as anyone on this board ....
The man is contemptuous of the fans and obviously CGAF about the lack of progress in the team. Self-serving tosser.

The media also come away with pish like 5.5 for Jozo, 3m for Derk or 4m for Juarez.

Full two page article by John McGarry in today's Daily Mail (i know i didn't buy it) Puts the boards current policy under the microscope ! exposes it for what it is ! very uncomfortable embarrassing read for Lawwell and co ..
Aye ye did, don't act it.
I get it everyday, just for the fashion pages you understand.

I saw the John Mc Garry piece, but couldn't face reading it. :(

Lawwell has to go. Desmond too. Neither appear to have any ambition for the club at all.

Start at the top, root and branch review, pointy sticks and flaming torches, night of the long knives, moving in to pursue other ambitions, whichever of the above phrases works for you, use it. Get them away from the club.

The fans turned on Lawwell after the Maribor game and with Deila now out of the firing line hopefully they do so again.

Can we have a poll asking whether or not Lawwell should resign? I'd like to see the numbers in favour
