Just hope any changes in the summer will be enough. A new FD will be coming in, possibly a new CEO but we are still left with the clown that is Bankier and Desmond rulling. We need fresh ideas and faces.
Can't see that happening.

Barring a change of ownership & a significant investment in new players, we're going to keep getting weaker. Which, of course, is great news for the Bengal Lancer in Govan, because his customers will be more convinced than ever that they urra Peepo; I'll bet they'll sell an awful lot of season-books based on today's result.

I never liked the "Here we go, ten in a row" patter, even if I agreed with the actual prediction. At this point, that achievement is starting to seem like Mission Impossible. And let's not even think about when we might next qualify for the CL group stages. Generation of what?!

Celtic Football club grabbed me as a 5 year old. Why? I don’t really know as all my close family were Rangers fans. Whatever the reason it became something special for me. I loved the club, the strip and the experiences. Going to Parkhead as a small boy was exciting, and even today on my rare trips through Glasgow I rarely take the M8, much preferring the long drive up London road, so that I can see this place that is so close to my heart.

As I got older I understood what this club was about. It was built out of charity, where everybody is equal and free to come in and become one of the family. I never saw any trouble and to be honest never really understood our role in this West of Scotland bigotry as I never saw or heard it. The people were friendly and I loved the fact that when we sang you’ll never walk alone some old fella gave you half his scarf to hold. It is a working man’s club, the peoples club where players and fans were one. In fact, some of the best players I saw were fans first and foremost. The stadium, today is fantastic, the ground around Celtic Park is wonderful to look at. I just love the place. I still get butterflies in the stomach when I attend a match.

Four years ago, Scottish football was placed into a position which most observers could not have seen coming. Rangers Fc had utilized a tax loop hole to pay players. This was being reviewed by the HMRC and the likelihood was a huge tax bill. The SFA and the rest of Scottish football had a difficult choice. However, there were only two real options. One to treat Rangers as every other club and acknowledge the club died after the refusal to agree a CVA, and lose the “old firm” sponsorship/investment in the Scottish game. The second was to create a falsehood of separating of club and company, where history could be maintained, but ask the new sevco club to be placed into the first division as a”punishment”. This kept the potential for the old firm money to be rekindled. Only for Turnbull Hutton to sort that oot.

Celtic Fc had the opportunity at this point to come out and state the outrage felt by the majority of fans who had spent hard earned money into a game for years that was rigged. They didn’t, they couldn’t as they required the old firm money also. However, Peter Lawwell needed to keep the fans onside so came out and stated Celtic did not need Rangers to maintain a separate business plan. This was later dismissed by the same man stating we were losing upwards of ten million per year.

Even with the resolution 12 fiasco the club are more interested in having the blue pound back. In fact I would suggest this may be more important than even having the green pound. It always has been about money to these guys. PL has been quoted as stating the reason for financial prudence at Celtic has been exampled by the Rangers’ disaster across the city. Hold on a minute you are already colluding in the idea that a club who is liquidated lives on Mr Lawwell, so why the need for any financial prudence. The worst is liquidation and a nice journey through the leagues.

These people running MY club and your club don’t have the same feelings we do. To them it is a job and a wage. The decision to place a manager with limited experience into this job shows the lack of feeling they have. I would respect the board more if they just told the truth. Listen guys we have limited funds and currently we are struggling money wise so we are going down this road. It’s a gamble and a risk. Don’t come out with statements like if a player is available for 8 million we can do this. Bullshampoo and lies. It’s called managing expectations and it’s not happened.

I don’t want these people at my club. Please go now, it’s been going on too long. We have no investment, no strategy, no thought and more importantly no drive. We need a new start, a new direction and people the fans can get behind who have Celtic football club in the heart. Football should be the only driver for our club, it never has and never will be about money. Thats why we are a different club to the rest.

If he gave an eff we wouldn't have to be asking questions like this.
All show. We are a passing interest and an occasional distraction for him.

If that's the case then rightly so.

4 years with a free ride at Scottish football and we've won 2 cups and missed out on £50m worth of Champions League money.

There should have been effing pitchforks in the car park yesterday afternoon. Lawwell should not survive this, the statement that Ronny Deila is leaving should include that bastards resignation as well.

Any more word on Desmonds son or his daughter or his pet hound or whoever it is this week, taking over the reins from him?
Allegedly, they are gonna have a very hands (or paws) on approach

Is it wrong to suggest a walk out at the next home game to show the board enough is enough?

Tightly gripped around Lawwell's neck one would imagine.

How the eff did we get to a position like this. The board are supposed to be expert businessmen. Any effing idiot knows if we have a successful team on the park we would be making money hand over fist. It isn't effing rocket science :ffs:

Its precisely that kind of insipid someone else will do it approach that has led to the farce Remy. Unless there is coordination, 20k attendance's will be acceptable in the boardroom and they will simply sell Tierney and sign more cast-offs through chummy agents to maintain their salary - which is the only thing they care about.

It was reported that the bold Desmond disappeared at half time to the sanctuary of his hospitality suite and never returned to his seat.
