Think "brutal "maybe an exageration if the examples you give was the worst of it.
Away and gies peace. shampooe performances and awful management from boards aren't relative. If it's shampooe, it's shampooe.

In my neck of the woods, 'Brutal' can mean anything from a 'wee bit unpleasant' to 'savagely violent'. It's a bit of a wide scope.

Me reading them in a David Brent voice probably took the edge off them as well.

What a self serving bunch of idiots our board really is. They actually think they are doing a good job in difficult circumstances. How deluded and condescending.
If they don't act soon, the protests will begin in earnest.
Maybe this will finally be the rupture point where even the average fan clicks. The board have kept this guy employed because they want to make a profit, not because it's good for our future. Took most of us far, far, far too long to realise it.

With each passing transfer window, we're being slowly dragged into the footballing dark-ages and the majority of our fans are content with it so long as we're just a wee bit better than Rangers.
We've allowed the board to use the absence of Deidco as an excuse for inadequate quality: "slightly less pish than Aberdeen" should never have been an acceptable standard for Celtic.

We've technically not achieved the "slightly less pish than Aberdeen" bit just yet!

If Ronny is in charge tomorrow the board are negligent, pretty simple.

No disrespect mate, that decision should have been made long ago. They've been negligent for months.

They won't sack him before the end of the season. But I expect them to put the word out that he won't get another season.

This was during the shambolic Legia game at Murrayfield 2 years ago.

Sadly nothing has changed and nothing will change without fan mobilisation of some sort.

He will be & they are.

Their record over the past 4 seasons alone speaks for itself.

They have actively pursued a policy of selling off any decent "assets" in the team & replaced them with cheap, hopeful punts.

Its the Wanyama effect. That was the deal that convinced PL that Park was a genius and that the "money-ball" policy was the only way forward. That was the window we lost Victor, Kevin Wilson & Gary Hooper & brought in dross like Balde, Pukki & fecking Boerrigter.

We have followed that up by signing the likes of CKR & Carlton Cole. We have christ only knows how many midfielders that all appear to be lightweight and ineffective, it is an absolute shambles.

We then compound all that by giving the main job to what amounts to a rank amateur = Yes he won a title in Norway but who gives a feck about that? does one Norwegian title qualify you for the Celtic hotseat? if he had won several titles then fair enough but one! give us a break.

At his last club he was the underdog, his team could play counter-attacking football on the break, here we have the bulk of possession, totally different style & ideas required. He was cheap though & willing to accept whatever player projects the genius like PL & Park could provide him - that was all that mattered to PL who had nearly shampooed himself when the Absentee Landlord offered the job to Roy Keane.

PL scuppered that deal though. He made sure that deal fell through.

Time for all these clowns to go, they have failed miserably & have regressed our team at an alarming rate.

Current board are dragging us back into the days of the Whites, Kellys and Grants, at least with the performances on the park ... the club might not be in financial trouble, but it certainly is on the pitch with continued downsizing and 'bargain' basement signings. Unfortunately there is no Fergus McCann to come riding to the rescue.
Desmond is the only relevant factor here. Lawwell and the board do his bidding.

McCann and Desmond--compare and contrast. And weep. I cannot imagine what the Bunnet thinks about the way Dick Dastardly has taken a club in near-perfect financial health and driven it off a cliff due to his astonishing ignorance about football matters.

Desmond will either stay on and blithely preside over our accelerating death spiral. Or he'll sell up and let the next guy try to rebuild something out the of the wreckage he leaves behind.

Desmond lives in another world. we're due a statement any day now about how we can expect a move to a bigger league in the not too distant future.

Deila has been a disaster but I'm not confident that DD's picks of either Keane or Henrik would have been much better. Remember he picked Strachan after a F1 team owner recommended him. Both that one and NL were "lucky appointments."

Either Desmond admits that things have gone badly astray and he guts the boardroom - exits for Lawwell, Allison, Bankier and Livingstone or he sells up.

Regretfully I suspect he will just carry on, business as usual.

They should have sacked him a while ago. 5 games to go? It'd speak volumes about them.

Who is the miserable fecker to Lawwell's right? I now know who Banker reminds me of, Ernst Blofeld actor Charles Gray. :ph43r: And Livingston looks like death warmed up there.

Its gonna take nothing less than "boots on the ground" and a holding back of ST monies to rid Celtic from these Tory and west brit parasites.

Regrettably, Celtic ties presently shrink to fit inferior board members.
