CB,
I would be interested to know which 'comments' you believe to be 'over the top'. I don't mean that in any derogatory fashion, which I believe I've been subjected to as being a new 'poster' with a viewpoint on our club and team performance witnessed since I decided to post on, since 'lurking' from January this year.
'Is Dermott part of the global elite who want to influence govts (£50K to the Conservatives) without contributing, tax wise ? Probably.', in your own words, could that be considered as an OTT reply?
To state that reference to him in relation to King is unfair as he 'never made promises to us about how much we would spend' is correct, no one can argue on that point. However, his failure to have Lawwell act on Resolution 12 smacks of a by-gone era (allegedly) within the north of Ireland when a Catholic minority were subjected to a Unionist veto. Why the fear?
Spot the similarity between the SFA/SPFL/ Media & Celtic FC and the north of Ireland?
No? Really? Why not?
Perhaps you haven't lived through years of blatant descrimination whereby life, not a game of football was cheap ... especiallyif it was Catholic and proclaimed an allegiance to Ireland and craved acceptance in a land you were forced to settle in by necessity, as opposed to choice. The Poland of today.
Do you really believe that our descendants really wanted to go to Scotland just to be treated like 'scum'.
Desmond is well aware of where his loyalties lie, it is within the monetary values which are not acceptable to the modern Celtic supporter of today. Are you suggesting that it would be remiss of us all to demand a 'living wage' for all employees within Celtic Park? Would that be an unacceptable criticism of Desmond who could pay it, just for fun?
Is that Lawwell's fault as well?
You claim Desmond has to stop talking about moving to the EPL because no believes it will happen.
Perhaps, when Desmond talks of The Rangers being a new club someone may actually give him 10p to phone some one who gives a f**k.
Until he does it himself, within the parochial confines of Scotland itself, and finds powerful allies within the establishment who care about 'integrity' he may actually attempt it.
Don't hold your breath on either front.
Celtic are up to 'their knees in EBT blood'.
The Blue Pound is Desmond's calling card.
Cue the obligatory derisory comments from 'Remy McSwain and the KDS Mary Whitehouse Tag Team' on my point of view.
Let';s face it, on this forum, if you are new with an opinion, you have to 'be a Hun'.
Sad, but true.

Desmond came on the pitch at Tannadice after we won the league and promised investment. It never happened.

What is your evidence for Lawwell being "a good business man" ?

Frank McAvennie: Celtic have already decided to bin Deila
LINDSAY HERRON
Spoiler: click to toggle Frank McAvennie is insistent that Celtic will win Sunday’s Old Firm derby but he does not believe it will be enough to secure Ronny Deila’s future as manager. The colourful former
Celtic striker believes that a decision to remove the Norwegian coach has already been made as a result of his style of play and failure to reach the Champions League group phase. And he has cautioned Deila that if he does lose to Rangers, he should not go out in
Glasgow without considerable protection. McAvennie said: “The decision’s already been made on that, don’t you think? To me there are three people who can make the decision – Dermot Desmond, Peter
Lawwell and the supporters. “The supporters will turn out in force for this one and I just can’t comprehend Celtic getting beat, because it wouldn’t be a good city for Ronny. “He’s got to change the way he plays. I just don’t understand this one up front in Scottish football. I can understand it in Europe but against teams in Scotland, especially at Celtic Park, play two up front and get the fans back. “Start playing entertaining football. It’s not been very entertaining recently. The fans have stayed away because of that – no other reason. “They’ve bought their season tickets but they’re not going to games. Ronny can stay if he wants as long as he learns from it – but he doesn’t seem to be learning from it. “I don’t know who the second striker is – I don’t think they’ve got one. Kazim-Richards is too volatile to play in an Old Firm game. He could even beat my record of 14 minutes for getting sent off. That would be interesting, wouldn’t it?” McAvennie feels Rangers are a lot stronger – and he welcomes their return to the Premiership – but he still believes Celtic will prevail with some comfort – although he insists it is vital that Kris Commons, pictured right, is in the starting line-up. He said: “I don’t see them not winning. I just can’t. I’m very concerned that Rangers are improving all the time but if the real
Celtic turn up and play to their capabilities they will beat Rangers. There is no two ways about that. “If I was a Celtic striker now I would fancy my chances on Sunday. “I like Leigh Griffiths as a striker and he’s the best they’ve got. But the biggest thing for Celtic this weekend is with a confident Griffiths up there, you’ve got to get Commons on the park. I just don’t understand – and I’ll never understand – why he’s not playing. “In my humble opinion he’s the best player Celtic have got. He can open up defences. If Leigh gets left facing two at the back – because the Rangers full-backs bomb on – then Kris is going to find him. “Celtic are a better team but if they turn up as lacklustre as they have been in recent times they could be in for a shock.” Read more: http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/celtic/frank-mcavennie-celtic-have-already-decided-to-bin-deila-1-4100739#ixzz45sAu45Lb Follow us: @TheScotsman on Twitter | TheScotsmanNewspaper on Facebook

That goes without saying.
I was assuming that Dr Hyde meant good for Celtic, rather than just good for himself, and was interested to hear the evidence.

The point about DD being responsible for our current transfer policy is fair as he is the controlling figure at the club. Here's hoping he will surprise us close season in a positive way.

Was it a full moon last night? Celtic is actually controlled by Dermot Desmond!!!!! - Feck you learn something new every day.
It's almost as if nobody in the history of Kds had ever pointed out DD is the real problem.

Has any manager or ex manager ever came out and stated plainly that Lawwell imposed players on him or interfered in the running of the team in any way? Just asking, because I suspect that a lot of assumptions are being made here, and wonder if they are based on actual fact.
That's why I've been asking for examples of his intervention. I'm not saying it hasn't happened, just that it's accepted as fact and repeated, without any concrete evidence. Welcome to the internet.

Lawwell gets the blame as he is a good business man.
What is your evidence for Lawwell being "a good business man" ? Did you read what I wrote? Can you tell me how Lawwell has not been a success, in business terms, for Celtic plc?
On the park we have a continuous title winning side, who are abysmal with an abysmal manager.
I'm at loss as to what exactly you don't understand.

Think you need to rethink your strategy and try much harder tbh.
