I just realised that Lawwell was in his first year as CEO when we played back-and-forth with Rivaldo for weeks before trying to get him to go on trial for our entire US tour. Of course Rivaldo told us to ram it and went on to have four successful seasons in Greece. The trend was set for Lawwell's tenure.

Lawwell Throwback Friday.

De La Pena went onto be a complete failure in La Liga aswell after having to prove himself with us. We made some crazy decisions back then when we had the chance of decent signings.
He won the Copa Del Rey, finished 5th in La Liga with a wee team, and was in the UEFA Cup final with said wee team.

Was injured a lot at the end, but to call him a failure is just lies.
I think he was being sarcastic.

Another bizarre one was Marcio Amoroso who ended up signing for Milan after patching a trial with us.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Too many happy clappers for it to work.

You'd need 10s of thousands protesting outside the park for hours to make any difference and even then it would be deflectionary pish to get everyone TF.

They would probably just phone their polis pals nowadays.
My SB will be under severe renewal consideration if RD is still here this summer.

I'll miss my seat though.
Gave up mine about 6 years ago after roughly 10+ years of having one. Had enough of Lawwell's penny-pinching, but if I still had one at the of the Rangers/SFA stuff I would have binned it then. I doubt Ill be back tbh unless Celtic grow a pair and stop thinking it can only exist if a Rangers do.

We should be asking questions in a court of law.
Crowd fund it. Put them in the box and let's see if they are ALL prepared to lie when the consequences are so high.
Take them out of their self-protective environment and rattle eff out of them.
They didn't want to see Fergus in court and bottled it. He knew and was prepared to see it through.

I genuinely think we should be doing this.

I do too, but unfortunately we no longer have Fergus. :(

I just cannot understand what the reasoning here is.There are no grey areas, yet still
they tell the Res 12 guys to take it to UEFA,as they're not prepared to. It all seems very suspicious.
Could an EGM be called ?
God! We're turning into Sevconians, red cards, EGMs, looking for a protest midget

Why won't the board pursue the SFA over resolution 12? What do they have to lose ? Hide ?

Is the Old Firm still alive and well and operating quietly in the background ?

Do the current Celtic board owe the SFA ?

Answers on a P45 to P Lawwell , Celtic Park / Hampden Park / UEFA HQ.

Any Chief Executive who ignores his customer base and his product can only expect to be protected by acquiescent shareholders for so long.

In the end he will have nothing to punt, and no one to punt to.

The predominant shareholders will only take so much, and if their financial basket is upset by a lack of footfall and revenue, the CEO's head will roll.

However if the punters are content with a continued downturn in quality and development ambition, and continue to accept what is dished up to them, the man at the top will continue to pull close to a seven figure financial reward, yearly.

History, tradition, emotion and roots have little or nothing to do with the business at Celtic Park, as I see it, other than as a means to ensure the punter is milked.

Scottish football is a basket case, which is bad enough, but to see the depths we have sunk to makes me glad that my father and grandfather are not around to see it.

Faithful through and through, in my opinion has been and is being taken for granted, indeed, abused by those who currently run Celtic.

Quo vadis ?

If Lawwell and co think that we'll all forget about Res 12 they've got another think coming.
Their inaction over all the SFA/SPFL/Sevco corruption these past 4 years will come back to haunt them.
I've heard it mentioned that they're waiting for the EBT appeal before saying or doing anything, but I'll believe that when I see it.
They said and did nothing when the deid club were found guilty over the Discounted Options Scheme.

This thread should be off its effing rocker about the resolution 12 issue and lack of action, but it has been slow, apart from the few good posts.

I'm not criticising anyone, as this is my only post on the subject, but, we just aren't being dealt with fairly. For me, this is a huge issue, I'm not a puppet or a fool, but I'm being regarded as one. I'm a sheep, cos I will continue to buy my st.

I'm a effing hypocrite of the mind. I want this regime to go to eff, but I want to support my team, yet I am feeding these effers, cos I will renew.

A huge game of poker coming up with season ticket renewal time in the next few months.

Will PL gamble on the cup semi enticing the fans back to see the resurrection of the duopoly?
Will he reveal he is looking at Res12 and EBT, giving the support just enough encouragement that he is looking after CFCs interests?

Will the fans raise the stakes and organise demos inside/outside the stadium?
Will there be any boycott of season tickets & club merchandise ie new strips etc?
Is there really a huge number of fans so against all the shampoo that's been swilling around for the past 4 years that they will take some form of action?

So who has the gonads, who will blink first, who holds the aces, next few months should reveal all.

Appoint Davie Moyes, sign ONE 2 million quid player and be linked with four others (without signing them) and the SBs will be flying off the shelves.
